Gelid Solutions GC-Extreme 3.5g with Tooling - Thermal Compound Paste - Heatsink Paste - Thermal Compound CPU for All Coolers

I used GC extreme because it was recommend to me and I'm thankful that i did. I used to hit TJ-Max on both my CPU and GPU as soon as i started playing RDR2 on my laptop. (With AC on at 25/26 degrees) I finally changed it's stock thermal paste after 3 months of use. Even though i don't play much, my stock thermal paste was almost dried out on GPU and CPU. Pros- 1. Very reasonably priced. 2. Works flawlessly 3. Non-Conductive 4. Much much better than stock thermal paste or the generic thermal paste these companies apply to our laptop in the name of "service". 5. Heavy games like RDR2 are showing temps under 85 degree Celsius without undervolting/disabling turbo boost, which was not the case for me previously on the stock thermal paste. Idle temp was around 30-40. I'm personally very satisfied. (with AC on at around 26 degree Celsius) Neutral- 1. Bit difficult to apply but good thermal pastes are generally thick and they are not easy to apply. I have also not done it before so, Kinda new experience for me. Cons None as of day 1. Things to note- 1. This is a day one review. Will edit it in the future as the need arises. 2. If you want to have a rough idea about the temps (like really rough) use Hwinfo app and monitor idle/gaming temps. If you Want a better idea run Antutu, 3Dmark and other benchmark tests before and after applying this thermal paste. If someone is not willing to change the thermal paste themselves (which is fine) ask your laptop service guy to apply this thermal paste (buy it yourself), if the service guy is hesitant tell him that this is non-Conductive thermal paste (it won't damage the motherboard even if some of it spills on to the motherboard).

After looking on reweiws on many thermal compound i decided to go with this one and im very satisfied with the product. I have an i5-4460 with stock cooler which is pretty old chip and dont produce much heat at all but my system was still running slightly hot ,even in winters it was going above 70°C. I stress tested my chip on cinebench with stock/generic compound for around 10 minutes with my room Temp. at around 11°C and it went to max temperature of 76°C which is not much but i wanted to clean my pc so i had to change thermal paste anyways, after cleaning my pc and applying Gelid-GE extreme i ran cinebench again and to my surprise it never went above 55°C with same room Temp. which was not expected, I expected it to drop by 5-10°C but it went down by a whopping 21°C, although some of it might be due to the reason that i completely stipped my pc and cleaned it thoroughly. Another thing to keep in concideration is that i also changes the configuration of my fan from push to pull as i only have one fan in my setup which could have also affected a bit but still gelid gave me very impressive results and it is also cheaper than many other thermal compounds, so for me its a win and i will reccomend it.

I have used may thermal paste over time like Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut, Noctua NT-H1, Coolermaster Cryofuze. This Product felt like the best value for money which actually out performs some of the above mentioned and performance is some what equal to kryonaut which is double the price now. The temperature of my laptop was quiet high when i used NT-H1 where CPU reached 97-99 C ( Even reached 100 C) and GPU reached 67 C under GPU and CPU stress test. Under CPU only stress test the temps were around 90-96 C. After using Gelid the temps dropped significantly to 86-89C on the CPU and 64 C on GPU. Under CPU only stress test the temps were very low 78-84 C. ROOM TEMP IS 29 C. My device is Hp Pavilion gaming 16. The problem with this device is it will only kicks the fan to the full speed when the temps reach high and no fan control. So first the temps reaches High enough to turn the fans to the max like it will reach 94 C then stays there for some time and when the fans finally run at full speed the temps some time even reach as low as 80 if the room is cooler for CPU only stress test.

This is great for laptops. It has high viscosity. And it comes in good quantity for the price compared to other options. Earlier i got my paste replaced at a repair center and they used cryofuze violet. Within three months my laptop was severely throttling and i saw many frame drops even after reducing quality settings. Read a lot of reviews and suggestions about high performance paste for laptops and how they are not suitable, about pump out effect, dry out etc. This has lower conductivity at around 7 while violet has over 12. However, that doesn't matter when the paste just spills over. This is much more viscous (and harder to apply and spread but manageable). After application I have noticed significant temperature drop in idle. Although my laptop still throttles under load, that's because of the bad cooling design of asus TUF a15 (2020).

I used this to re-paste my Acer Predator Helios 300 2020 model. This paste is insane compared to the stock paste. While playing Valorant, Temps went down from 90-95C on CPU and 80-85C on GPU while having the fans running on max speed to 60-65C on CPU and 55-60C on GPU while fans were running in auto mode. Note : I cleaned out a LOT of accumulated dust from the fans and vents while repasting and also my CPU clock speed has always been restricted to a max of 3.2GHz(I had set this after buying the lap to reduce temps). So these things might have also helped in achieving such a drastic temp drop. Also the stock paste had dried out almost completely. If you are looking to buy a thermal paste for your gaming laptop, I suggest this paste 10/10. Buy it! I'm very happy with the results. This paste really keeps the temps in control. It's a magical compound. Application method : I spread the paste evenly on the CPU and GPU Die making a thin layer. My laptop is running cool as a cucumber now xD

Earlier I had Arctic MX-4 but my CPU temps were around 90 degrees(even after undervolting) under full load and sometimes it throttled due to high temps. I thought that my laptop's thermal design is not capable enough to dissipate heat. But after using GC Extreme I can't believe that my Laptop's CPU never goes above 75 degrees even in toughest benchmarks/workloads out there! MX-4 temps while playing RDR 2 = 85C-95C , Valorant = 84C-90C GC Extreme temps in RDR2 are 65-70C , Valorant = 60-65C Now my temps don't exceed 75 degrees (without undervolting) and 72 degrees (with undervolting). It doesn't have that pump-out effect as the paste is actually very viscous. Hence not easy to spread on cpu/gpu die. I'll advice that you just apply a drop on cpu/gpu and let it spread on its own when heatsink is pressed against cpu/gpu. I think It's really worth spending money on this thermal grease. For Laptop users I strongly recommend this paste over any other paste like MX-4, Noctua nt-h1,Kryonaut beacause these pastes have pump-out effect(search on web). Update-1 After 10 days Temps are now higher Valorant 65-70C Rdr2 70-76C Update-2 This paste is holding quite well and temps are now very stable and same as mentioned in Update 1.

Though my Laptop is working fine without any issues but from last few months my laptop fan was running at high speeds and I also clean this cooling fan and cooling vents of my laptop regularly but fan speed was higher than normal as my laptop became very old so I decided to clean and re-paste my laptop heat sink then decided to purchase a premium thermal paste then I came to know that all other branded paste suffers pumping out effect in laptop heat sink like mx-4, noctua and thermal grizzly kyronaut so these are not good choice for laptop users then I came to know that gc extreme thermal compound can sustain for a long time against this pumping out effect due to its viscosity and thickness. so I purchased this and it is working good and my laptop fan now runs at a normal speed

Actually My Legion 5 started thermal throttling in winters. But never tried to check out the temps but when I monitered the temps gpu was hitting 82-83 and cpu 95-100. So i ran to the Lenovo service center. But instead of just cleaning the fans they changed the thermal paste with 50 rupee paste. And the issur just got bigger the temps now has started reaching 86-86 for Gpu within 20 secs. After searching I got to know that lenovo usues honeycomb thermal compund but I didnt found. So I tried my luck getting this although its expensive but if applied correctly and placed heatsink at place. It wo do magic. The gpu temp is now max 70 and cpu 85-90 with no throttling. Even in summers where ambient temp is 40 then also gpu never touched 80 and cpu stays at 90-95 which is absolutely normal with that high ambient temp

Drops the CPU temp down by 10 degrees. The paste is a little thick but if it works, I'm happy with that. Tested it on an old Dell E520 with a Q6600 CPU with MX-4 thermal paste where at idle, hovers around 55-57 degrees. With the GC-Extreme, now it idles at 45 degrees.
