Is this stamd alome or do you have to habe the oringinal game?

These are European bird cards and additional (purple!) eggs that are designed to be incorporated into the original game. So it's not a standalone; you need to own Wingspan in order to use this expansion.

Does the expansion allow for more players?

No, it does not. Stonemaier does sell neoprint player mats. You’d have to get action cubes though. And we have played with 5; more than 5 would make it super slow. It would probably be better to have a second copy and play two groups.

Does it fit into the original wingspan box?

Yes, it does. I ditched some of the small plastic storage containers that we only use to present food (food is stored in included baggies), ditched the new purple card storage container (all bird cards now stored in original blue storage container), stored bonus cards (unsleaved) in baggie, kept rule book/etc. It fits snug, but the lid does close fully.

Why is the quality of cards poor in this expansion? It made me think that it is imitation/fake product.

I'm not sure what you mean. We have that expansion, and the card quality is exactly the same as the original game and Oceania expansion.
