The company I work for used to have these on hand. They are fantastic at splinter removal. You can easily keep one in the car and wallet just in case. They are sterile and and won’t add any unwanted bacteria into your wound.

My husband had brought some of these home from work as he tends to get slivers frequently. When we ran out of the stack he'd brought home, I knew we needed to find more. These are great little first aid tools. I'm getting old, and remember having splinters dug out with a needle hastily run through a lighter flame. No more! Individually wrapped means no need for sterilization. They're perfect for widening the hole the splinter went in to be able to pull it back out! (My teenager has also used them to pop pimples, but I don't recommend it.) All in all, they're handy and good for a fully stocked first aid kit.

Safer than anything else you may have used to remove a splinter. It works better than anything else I have tried. It is light and will not slip around while your fingers are using it, allowing precise controll of the sharp pointy end. It allows you to control the removal of deep splinters. I keep a pack in the garage, each bathroom and in the first aid kits in the vehicles.

Got this on a great deal for a 2 pack of 20 counts. The quality of the splinter remover was nice and easy to hold and maneuver with my fingers. Got a small splinter on my index finger tip and was struggling to get it out with tweezer so searched the internet for solutions. This had great reviews so I purchased it and was pleased. It takes a bit of a dance to get splinters out if they are small and embedded sort of deep but persevere and you'll get it out in due time!

PRO: If you use a needle to take out a splinter, then this option is quite valuable. Each splinter removal tool is encased in a sterile package. How many times have you used a needle just laying around for a splinter? The tool seems to have a thinner, sharper end making it easier to get that darn splinter out. CONS: If you prefer using tweezers to pull out a splinter, then you might not like this process as well.

This worked so well on my first time with my daughter's foot (she stepped on a tiny sliver of glass), that I will definitely be buying some more to keep in all our vehicles and home bathroom cabinets and our emergency bag. All I needed was a magnifying glass and one of these splinter outs and the next thing my daughter knew was "your done already" that I had the glass out and she barely felt it. It has a very precise point on the very thin light-weight (aluminum-type) metal pointer that was individually sealed. I just tore it open like I do a band-aide package, pulled the metal splinter remover out of the packaging and went to work pricking at that spot on her foot that had the glass embedded. Since his medipoint splinter remover is so sharp, pointy, large enough to handled (like 2" long by 3/4" wide - I'm just guessing here since I don't have it in front of me) and very light weight, it was so easy & quick to remove the glass out of my daughter's foot. She was a happy camper!!!
