Work Sharp Handheld Pivot Pro Knife and Tool Sharpener, WSHHDPVT, Black

To be perfectly honest, these type of sharpeners are never going to give your knife that "perfect edge". It will give your knife a reasonable edge in a very short amount of time with little effort though, I use it to keep my packet knife sharp, and the occasional kitchen knife touched up - no complaints, was able to carve a turkey cleanly. At the price point, if it stops working, I'll simply buy another. Great little product.

Works really well!!! Did notice that the blade keeps knocking the table when I pull the knife but think that’s my fault. Think it could be designed better but got my knife super sharp

The quality is excellent.The speed is 10 strokes on each side. Very easy to use. Versatility , from a knife to an axe quickly. I would definitely recommend for bugout bag 🎒

I just got done writing a review for Work Sharp's other sharpening tool, "Work Sharp Pull Through Kitchen Knife Sharpener - Compact ". The short of that review is that the tool was not sharpening my kitchen knives. Actually, it made it duller than it was, so much that I had to get my stones out to fix it. It takes more time and effort to do that, which is why I wanted a simple sharpener. That same reason applies to this pivot pro tool. However, because I was using this for non-food usage sharp tools (ax, shears, pocket knives, etc), I wasn't particularly as concerned with these. Dull knives are a safety hazard, especially in the kitchen. For outdoor stuff, "sharp enough" is fine. I'm not using these sharp tools for delicate things. So, despite it not really sharpening my tools, it got it sharp enough for me to want to keep it. At least until I tested the kitchen sharpener. "Sharp enough" doesn't do it for the kitchen, so I started the return for it. And because I'm already returning that, I've also returned this. I really wanted to like it, and for the purposes of the tools it got used on, I planned on keeping it. But since I'm making my trip to UPS anyways, I don't "like it" enough to hold on to it.

A quick easy way to tune up your knife. Using a wet stone can be either tedious or relaxing. This sturdy sharpener is great, when you don't have the time or "skill" to go round and round.

Wow! Work Sharp has done it again. I have owned many types of sharpeners, and some I have taken with me hunting and camping… but none have been as versatile as the Pivot Knife Sharpener. Every time I turn it over, it seems that there is another type of sharpener on this device or another item that can be sharpened. First thoughts of this device are that it is surprisingly engineered and packed with features. It is versatile and durable. It has a comfortable handle to help secure the sharpener as you use it. It is packed with five types of sharpeners that will help as you touch up your blades and tools. The Work Sharp Pivot Pro feels solid in the hand, but not overly heavy. Each time I turned it over I was impressed to find another hidden sharpener.… This small but capable sharpener has five types/levels of sharpening. 1. Pivot Response Convex Carbides for quickly restoring the edge of your favorite blade. 2. Ceramic Rods for honing the edge to a much finer finish. 3. Diamond Plate for placing an edge on hard to sharpen edges like axes, hatchets, hooks, chisels or whatever edge needs to be refined. 4. A removable pruner/sheer sharpener to make quick work of your curved pruner blades. 5. Another set of conveniently located straight edged carbide blades for sharpening axes, hatchets, machetes, or other brute force cutting tools. I haven’t been able to try it, but it might work to touch up other yard tools. If a sharp edge is important to you, then this should be with you too. I have personally used it to touch up my machete that I frequently use to clear brush and cut kindling with. It restored the edge smoothly and uniformly along the whole length of the blade allowing me to quickly return to work without the need to go back to the shop for some other type of sharpening device. I keep this in my kitchen where I can touch up Kitchen cutlery, pocket knives, kitchen scissors and various other blades. Don’t just get this for yourself, this would be a perfect present for that special somebody on your list that already has everything. If I had another, I would keep it in the truck. This would be perfect for all outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen, even crafters who need a sharp even for their tools and scissors. A few types of people who could use this are: gardeners, fishermen, hunters, trappers, cooks and chefs, hobbyists, wood workers, contractors, mechanics, foresters, farmers, ranchers, boaters, plumbers, electricians, butchers, tailors… just to name a few. Es un excelente afilador para los cuchillos de cocina,también ya afilen un hachay como 40 cuchillos de cocina,y si tienes algo de conocimiento de afilado es aún mejor porque usas el diamante el carburo y la cerámica,si no tienes ese conocimiento con el carburo y la cerámica es mucho más que suficiente
