Good pump. Long write up, with advice
Have only used a week but the S122T-40 pump works fine. The construction feels solid, it definitely looks like stainless steel, and we could not find any crap plastic on it or parts that look like they would rust. The item 'description' on this pump calls for 180W minimum, and we were indeed able to power it with two, 12V, 100W solar panels connected in 'parallel'. However, it needed a good deal of sunlight, perhaps 80-90% of 'full sun brightness' if that makes any sense - would not work in cloudy weather. Pump mfger told us to up the 200W to 400W so that is what we will do next (add two more panels, all in parallel). But like I said earlier, the pump did work with 200W of panels in good sunlight, 70ft into the well. Did not measure specifically but I would estimate 4-5 GPM. We used a spool of 100ft, 1 inch, 160PSI rated "black poly pipe" to move the water out of the wall. Word of note, the 160psi poly pipe is hard to work with as it is very rigid- sunlight can warm it up a bit so you can stretch is 'somewhat' straight on land. Or you can opt for the 100psi rated pipe which appears to be just fine as well, and more flexible, albeit slightly thinner cross section. For wire we used something akin to 150ft 12/2 submersible Well Pump Wire , which comes with two wires to hook up to the pump as well as a ground wire (three wires total). Not completely sure how to ground the pump yet to be honest as the pump comes with just 2 wires (positive/negative). I believe there is also wire you can buy which is both submersible and rated for being buried underground without conduit, but we did not need that type. To connect the pump to the submersible wire we used a submersible wire splice kit, which is basically some crimp connectors and special heat shrink tubing. Our submersible well pump wire was solid copper (not stranded) so the crimp was mediocre at best, but it works so we are leaving it as is. The wire that comes out of the pump is stranded. Lastly - the cord attached to the pump comes out the side of it, so I do not believe you could fit this 3" diameter pump in a hole smaller than 3.5" (our well is 4"). The solar panels work best when the sun is directly pointed at the panels, meaning if you have just 200W of panels it may not turn on if the sun is off to the side of the panels. Give the sun some time to rise into the air, above the panels, and it should turn on. Wear sunscreen, Texas is hot and I'm all burned up. Edit: 9/9/2020 Changed panel power output from 200W to 400W, all in parallel, pump is now pumping like crazy even in cloudy weather.

Waisting $$$$
I bought this to fill a stock tank for my live stock. But decided to test it first. Hooked the pipe I was going to use to it and placed it a 275 gallon tote. Then hooked it up to my truck battery. The pump would run for 30 secs and then stop. We realized that if we held the pipe just right it wound continue running. But the water barely flowed. It would have taken hour to fill the tank. Making me to go out with another way to fill the tank faster in the hotest time of year. All in all not worth the money.

Great remote irrigation pump
Ok, so I bought this for a remote spring for use with solar panels. Read lot of reviews and compared what seemed to be endless look a-likes and similar items. Put the pump in the spring (about 10 feet below water) and ran nearly every day for about 3 months or so. Worked great for watering trees/grass/garden areas. We just used a single sprinkler with a couple of garden hoses on the end of 300โ of 1โ poly pipe with about 30โ of vertical head. Pressure will vary a fair bit based on the amount of sun hitting the panels but that is expected. Ended up leaving the pump on the spring over the winter ( just didnโt get it pulled before winter due to very early severe winter storm) and started it back up in spring and pumped just like new! Been pumping steady (sun up to sun down) for 3 to 4 days a week for over three months this year (2021) and still works fine. I would definitely purchase again if it died tomorrow for sure.

Doesnโt match the specs. Outlet is not 1in-Only 1/2in.
I ordered this 24v pump for a friend of mine to irrigate his garlic fields in Mexico. We bought this one because the specs said it had a 1inch outlet. The outlet only has a 1/2in opening. You can put a 1in pipe on it, but the opening is still only 1/2 in. He going to his ranchero this week to try it but if the outlet is too small weโll have to return it.

Leaks oil !
This pump arrived with a large oil stain that had soaked the packaging. The pump itself was leaking oil and it worked for about 90 seconds. I have no idea how to return it to China. Be careful out there...

Good Solar Pump
I have this directly connected to one 12 volt, 200-watt solar panel. When the sun is out it pushes water up a good 70' in elevation without issue. It's been running for 3 months, 6 hours a day without issue. I did add a brass swing check valve at the base to prevent backflow.

Very good little 12v pump
Very easy installation. Does a great job at our camp but takes about 7 min to pump up to 30lbs of pressure in our tank with about 17lbs of air in it. Only had it a short time but so far so good.

Doesnt Match up
What Arrived did not match the Photo DC 12V 230W S122T-40. Unit appeared to be used and sounded like it had water still in it, To much cash for a used unit sent it back. I give it three stars because the refund was fast, I wish it had been new.
