Works great for PCP air rifles
This is my second pump. First one was A CS-1 That quit working on the third refill... So far on this one I have filled my air rifle 3-4 times With no issues.. It was completely packed in Styrofoam For shipping, happy about that... Comes with a bunch of spare parts but no Instructions on where that go or how to install them... Seems like all these pumps are overpriced Chinese junk. But this one seems pretty basic in It's design and build.. When using, I only let it run until it gets hot enough. Where I can't keep my hand on it.. Roughly around 8 -10 minutes. And then let it cool for 5min.. Took hours to fill a Scott air pack 30 minute bottle. There is a port on the front cylinder to add grease I highly recommend doing so seems like the grease they used isn't very good ..But do not overgrease. Time will tell. As for now, I am happy with this purchase...Recap: 11/27..I've had this pump for a few months and so far has worked flawlessly..it will fill to 4500psi although it pumps mouse farts so to fill a bottle or scuba tank is an enduring process but it will do the job..I use it for a pcp air rifle..oh and it is already setup to run off a 12v car battery..great little pump at a fair price two thumbs up as Siskel and Ebert would say 👍👍

Great Little Compressor
I waited a couple of months to post. It has been working flawlessly. I have a little 8" fan I point right on it from inches away whenever I use it kicking up the cool airflow. Heat is what kills these things. As long as you use it within spec and avoid "tank filling" like the plauge it will last. This is compact, quiet and I could go on and on about things I like. The gauge is OK at best which I expected. Luckily these compressors are just hardware fittings so you can add whatever you like in the way of air filters, gauges, hoses etc. Just keep in mind this is a small airflow compressor so things like that will slow your fill and cause more heat. It is a great design but I have one constructive critisism. With the move from shrouds to moderators and shorter barrels many guns out there have a tight fit between the end of the air tube and beginning of the moderator. This unit ends with a big square metal block that is not flexable at all. To use this compressor on those guns you have to buy a flexible micro hose. Problem is you only need 6 inches but you are lucky to find a piece of hose with fittings 24". The block also has enough weight and sharp corners to scratch blueing or wood on the gun. A small bit of hose would keep it back from the metal/wood and allow a flex tight fit between the tube and moderators. THIS SELLER IS ONE OF THE BEST ON AMAZON and I buy a lot of stuff. I asked him several technical questions before and after purchasing and he always gave quick and accurate responses. I really like my purchase and have recommended this to friends and people on Airgun sites. This beats the heck out of a high quality hand pump for not much more money.

The little engine that could!
I am new to PCP's and of course having no prior experience I did not know which compressor to buy. After much research and looking at the reviews I decided to order this one. For the money I think these could come with a small book with information specific to using it but there are youtube video's to watch that help. After buying this I filled my new gauntlet from zero to 4500 in just a short runtime. I also acquired a scba tank kind of by mistake on ebay but with a current inspection and not expired tank date so I decided to fill it to 4000 psi with this little compressor from zero. It is winter time and I had plenty of time to just fill it a little at a time. I decided that I would only run the compressor for 5 to 8 minutes at a time so not to work it too long. I still had a return window and thought what the heck lets check it out to see if it will work or I will send it back. Well, I also changed the filter out to a larger one to keep water out and around 22 sessions of the 5 to 8 minute later my tank is at 4000 psi. This little puppy reminds me of the little engine that could and while it is slow to fill a large tank, it can, if you treat it right. It just kept chugging along. I still have a return window left but for this little puppy's portability and it's ability, if it continues to work as well as it has I am sure I will be keeping it. I will update this review if I have a problem in the future. I hope the seller is as reputable as many have stated should I have a problem. There are risk to buying these types of items at these prices especially when parts are hard to find but compared to other more expensive compressors you will be hard pressed to find one with this many good reviews. I hope this helps some of you on the fence about ordering this little unit. Good Luck. Update : After running this little gem for close to 3 hours or so total and right after filling the tank mentioned above, I decided that I wanted to check the Piston lube just to see how it was looking. I pulled the plastic plug that covers the piston connecting rod and right away I noticed that the piston had been wearing the end of this plug, in fact it had worn a curved wear mark in the end of this plug curved like the piston. Obviously it had been tightened to far into the cavity, the plug was worn to the point that you could see through the center hole. I thought well, I had better pull the piston to see how much plastic was down inside the cylinder. i pulled the piston and found the piston looked ok but there was very little grease on the piston and what was there was too dry but the cylinder wall looked fine. I noticed that there was indeed black plastic wear that had fallen down beside the high compression piston and there was black stuff up and down the high compression piston but the piston and rings had not been damaged at this point. After watching YouTube videos of a broken compressor and the dried out grease that probably contributed to the drive gear wearing out in that video, I decided to take this one down and evaluate the grease inside the gearing as well as the rod bearing. I found that there was plenty of grease in these areas but I didn't trust the grease that had been used so I removed the old grease and used a high quality grease on the gears and the rod bearing and connecting rod. I chose red atom grease for these areas and I lubed the piston with white Lucas lithium grease both purchased from amazon. Both of these have high ratings and are not warranty breakers as you can see in the questions and answers section that the seller is ask about what kind of grease to use. I put the unit back together after cleaning and greasing the unit and ran a pressure test which proved that the grease I used was definitely superior to what it had before as the unit ran a little faster and quieter than before and pressured up just fine. That test was without the plastic plug installed because I had filed the end of the plug down shorter and applied epoxy inside to seal it as it had not dried yet. The next day I had to depressurize my Gauntlet air rifle .13 cu tank to perform some work on it and after that I installed the plug in this compressor that had dried plus I installed an oring on it to insure that it would seal properly and not thread in too far, any oring the size of the plug should work as this area does not get too hot and this plug only needs to be snug to stay in place. I then aired up my gauntlet tank to 4500 psi and it took approximately 8 minutes from zero to 4500 with my newly greased compressor. It is still the little engine that could but I am reducing the rating to 4 stars overall because I feel that if I had not found this problem I probably would have had serious problems with it real soon. This should not happen to a well thought out piece of equipment with properly made parts and good QC inspections. I hope I can continue to use this little unit and it is my belief that anyone with one of these units should go through it as I did and probably should make this a regular maintenance check. That is what I will be doing and I will update if I find any other problems. Again, this is a nice little workhorse but it probably needs some good old corrective inspection and maintenance for proper long term use. Hope this helps. Update: September 27, 2023. This little compressor is still working great. I continue to use it regularly to fill my scba tank when it gets down in the 3600 psi range back to 4000, which are good ranges for filling my Umarex Gauntlet and my Umarex Origin 22. It takes only 2 to 3 eight to ten minute sessions to top off the tank and then I am good for several fills. I have to say that this little unit has proved to be worth the money, if taken care of. I will probably take it back down this winter and check it out and grease it where needed. Update: 02/13/2024 I just checked cleaned and greased my unit and the cylinders where nice and smooth. Good grease that I mentioned that I use above. I reassembled the unit and discovered that I was getting no pressure. What did I do wrong, Took me awhile to figure it out but just in case some of you have an issue I will tell you what I did wrong. If you take the intake check valve apart on the head to clean it pay special attention when you place it back together. The top piece of the check valve has a slight bend near the screw so that the inner piece of the check valve can move slightly up and down to allow air to come into the head. If you place this on upside down the valve will not open and the high pressure piston will starve for air causing it to be operating in a vacuum. Trust me, you will not get any pressure if you do this. I fixed my error and presto, pressure. I still think this is a great little compressor if you take care of it. I expect to use it for another year without any issues.

exceeded expectations.
Surpassed expectations. I selected this one because of the maintenance simplicity of an air-cooled motor. It reviewed well and I expected it to work well. But I thought it would be a lot slower and less capable than it is, even based on the reviews. Examples: it filled a 213 cc tank to 3000 PSI in about 5min. It filled a 68ci bottle to 4500 PSI in 18 minutes. (This is how the bottles are labeled, I’m too lazy to convert.) The manual directs you to run it for a max of 15-20 minutes and to let the fans cool it down for 5 minutes between uses and to let the fans run for 5 min after use, before disconnecting power. (The fans always run as long as power is connected.) It isn’t silent, but it’s very quiet for an air compressor. Not heavy and easy to carry. Great that you can power it off a car battery. One drawback is I had a good bit of moisture in the 68ci bottle. I haven’t emptied and opened the regulator on the 213cc bottle. It seems that maybe some moisture can condense inside the hoses between uses? I have been pressurizing the hose with the cap on it, then blowing out the air through the bleeder valve. It’s very wet, but after a couple bursts, it’s dry; that’s when I fill a bottle.

Impressive!
I purchased this compressor to charge my first foray into PCP air guns, a Notos. I liked how it did not need water hookups for cooling, and maintaining oil isn't necessary either. Turns out the piston and workings are pre-lubricated from the factory with two different types of greases. I found plenty of info on youtube on how to take apart and maintain the unit and even an outfit that sells a grease kit to replace to two greases when it comes time to do some maintenance. It fills my Notos in no time with it having such a small tank. I have also used it to fill a 68ci paintball tank to 3K psi. I let it run for about 10 minutes at a clip even though the literature says nearly twice that time is fine. I just like to be conservative and let it bleed off air between top offs on the larger tank. While I wouldn't recommend it for paintball tanks as there are larger units available more suited, it can get the job done in a pinch. Everything is sturdy and well finished with paint and anodizing on parts. It comes with plenty of extra air filters and even a supplemental filter if you want to go the extra mile. It sports both intake and output filters. It comes with an external 110v/240v switchable power supply that converts AC to 12VDC. It is kind of annoying in that regard, but the benefit is that it is ready to plug into a 12V battery out in the field for fill ups on the go. Having the power supply separate really saves weight and size for portability in that regard. I can't find any downsides to the unit so far. If you have or are getting into PCP air guns, i wouldn't hesitate on this one.

It worked great, until it didn't
Update 2: After no response from seller to two emails over a couple of weeks, I sent a third email saying that I was going to report the issue to Amazon, and get a refund through them, and post a negative review. They answered that email same day. Anne claimed the ring seal on my non-functioning pump was supposed to be that way and was normal. Look at my photo, you decide. She also claimed they have excellent customer service, but they get a lot of email, so they can't respond to them all the time!?! Update: After 11 months of light use, it quit building pressure when filling my PCP air rifle. Through the inspection hole, I can see that a plastic piston ring has a big chunk missing out of it (see photo). Since it has a 12 month warranty, I emailed the seller. Three days later I got a reply apologizing and promising resolution, and asking for a photo of the damaged piston ring, which I sent them. After two weeks of no response, I sent another email. After another few days of no response from them I contacted the Amazon resolution team. They were actually great, called me back right away, and sent me a UPS return code, and are going to refund me when they receive it. There was a slight reduction for fees or shipping or something, but I still am getting back 80% of my purchase price. Original review: So far I really like it, I just hope it lasts. It is air cooled with two fans. Heat is the enemy of these compressors. I might consider using a small cheap desk fan on it for even more cooling if I am going use it more than a few minutes. If you are going to be filling large air tanks, you definitely should pay attention to cooling, or listen for any strain on the pump, of just look for a larger compressor. But for me, it only takes a couple of minutes to top off my 130cc PCP airgun tank from 120 to 220 BAR, and didn't get very hot, maybe 100 degrees on a hot day. I think it is pretty quiet also. No water cooling to mess with, no oil. I guess you have to grease some points after many hours of use, but it will be a long time from now for my usage. It is light weight, compact, portable, and works off a 12V car battery, or 120v house current if you get the 12v converter that this offering has included. I don't really think this pump is inexpensive, but it is compared to a lot of other units. And compared to a hand pump, this thing is well worth the money.

Best PCP compressor for the money out there!
I wanted to give it some time before I gave this a review. Honestly being so inexpensive had me kinda worried, since people swear you have to spend almost a grand on a decent compressor. I bought mine in November, so over 6 months of filling my Marauder tank with ZERO problems! Ok wait, maybe not zero, I did switch out the connector/gauge. Only because it was not the easiest to hook up to Marauder which doesn't have a removable tank. So that's both the pumps fault. The Marauder doesn't have a big tank, but it's crazy how fast this thing tops it off from 2k to 3k psi. I need to time it, but I know it's not more than 6 or 7 minutes. I've never had to shut it down mid fill to let it cool because it never takes that long. They say you can run it 15-20 minutes with no problem, and I believe it, but I wouldn't do more than 10 since that's what kills these things. If mine died tomorrow, yes it would be under warranty, but even if it wasn't I would still get another 1 of these. You spend a grand, it can still break, but you can buy 4 of these for the price of most big name compressors. I promise you you won't get more production from 1 big name compressor than 4 of these. It doesn't make sense to spend all that money unless you are 1 of those guys who enjoys throwing money away. Personally I would rather put it towards my next gun. Don't be scared off by the price, this thing is worth every penny. Most bad reviews on here are from people who aren't very realistic. Performance for the dollar is off the charts! Ok, I have had this thing a year and a half now and it still works amazing. My PCP is a Benjamin M-rod, so it doesn't have a very high bar tank. It fills at 3k. This compressor is PERFECT for that size or maybe a little bigger. I let my buddy borrow it for his FX, and it's tank is 4k. It honestly struggled a bit with that size. It filled it, but it really had to work. He was still impressed and went out and bought a bigger size from a different manufacturer and almost immediately it fried the compressor. He returned it and bought the bigger GX comp and he loves it. GX without a doubt is the best deal on compressors on Amazon.
