I bought it for a busy toddler who likes to run ahead as fast as he can. This worked really good at a theme park when needed for safety. The child loved it and it was a good addition to the car for outings. They like it so much that I will probably get one and other colors as well because now that he's getting bigger, he carries a little more things with him so I would definitely recommend this was a gift and they said the quality was noticeable that it was well-made and the tether was strong. Keeping the child nearby as needed in a crowded location. There was no problem getting a child to wear it , as the pattern was sufficient to keep interest

Adorably useful and conveniently safe. I bought two of the little backpacks for my Grandsons. One is 2 years old and the other is 17 months. These backpacks are perfect for both the adult and the toddler. The toddler gets to carry a cool backpack loaded with their snacks and drink. And the Adult gets the security of being attached to the other end of the line/leash. I don't particularly like to call it a leash but, it is what it is. The backpacks are insulated to keep snacks and drinks cool. Also easy to wipe clean. The white inner lining material of the backpacks, have embossed drink figures imprinted into the fabric. Nice added touch. The outer material of the backpacks have a feel of durability. They don't feel cheap or would give the impression of ripping easily. The seem to wipe off easy so far. Between juice drinks and crumbly snacks, they still look great. The straps on each backpack I bought were adjustable. I like that the boys can trade backpacks, when their Mommies want. Just readjust to fit. Easy peasy. The "Leash" part that attaches to the adult feels strong and durable. While out and about, I didn't feel as if my boys could tear away from me. These made me feel more relaxed. One less thing to worry about while in the public. Overall as a Grandparent, these are a "Must-have" for those who do not want to be seen as "Putting a child on a dog leash." These are Super Cute backpacks. And they just so happen to have an attachment piece to an Adult. I wish they would have been available when my kids were little. I definitely could have used these. I am copying this review to the other backpack I purchased. Both were tested with my grandsons.

I bought this for my 3 year old to start special ed pre-k. Each day it contains 2 diapers & a ziplock with wipes, a change of clothes (compressed into a quart ziplock baggie) diaper cream, his parent/teacher communication book & is only about halfway full... I use a separate bag for his snack/small lunch because it goes into a separate basket when he goes into school. I actually have enough room to stuff that bag into the top of it & leave it unzipped sticking out the top. It is surprisingly big! I will probably use this for him when we go do stuff like the zoo & disney maybe! Will prevent me from having to take a huge diaper bag too by simply putting his diapers & necessities into it. Great for school, day trips, etc... the harness strap/buckle across the chest is great too, haven't used the leash feature yet as we park in a special area right near a door he enters school, but would if we had to walk up the block & totally will for the zoo or something! OH, also, its super cute!! *****This can function solely as a lunch bag also for older little kids, it is fully insulated to work like a lunch bag.

We LOVE this backpack!!! My almost 2 year old love it! He calls it his 'shark'! The backpack is surprisingly very well made. You can definitely tell it will last a long time. The shark part on the outside is nice and firmly fluffed. So it always look puffy and nice. The inside of the backpack is insulated so it is perfect for snack and drinks. I've also used it to put a diaper and a small case of wipes in (along with snacks). It can fit a pretty good size amount in it. On both sides of the outside of the backpack there are mesh pockets to put a travel cup or pretty much anything else. We use one for a cup and the other to hold the harness cord when we aren't using it. It's a perfect spot to put it if you don't want to unhook the cord everytime you let them go on their own. The harness cord is nice and long but not overly long. It can also be removed if you just want to use it as a backpack. The handle itself is a little on the small side in my opinion though. It's a little harder for me to put my hand all the way through it. I usually just end up holding the strap instead of leaving it on my wrist. But I will say I have larger sized hands (for a women anyways) so that could just be me. But I'm sure an average man would have the same issue. The chest harness is also great! The harness adjusts easily enough and won't budge until you are ready to adjust it again. It sits on my almost 2 year old perfectly. Overall this is a great harness backpack!! I would highly recommend it for a toddler around 2 to 3 years old!!

I ordered this backpack leash for my son so he can be free from the stroller at the zoo without me having to worry about losing him. Although I haven't tried it out yet, it seems like it will do the job well. The metal clips for the leash are reassuring and the plastic clasp in front seems sturdy. My only issue is that the straps used to tighten the shoulders and the front clasp slip rather easily through the plastic fastener. Meaning, the shoulder straps and front clasp straps loosen up by themselves. This was easily fixed by tying knots in the straps, but that will now make it more of a pain to adjust. All that being said, I love this backpack. It's adorable! The inside pocket isn't huge, but it's big enough (plus it's insulated). And my son loves it!

I ordered two of these. The shark and the puppy. We have not used them yet but they seem very well made and sturdy. I was looking for a small kids backpack that I could carry a thin wipe case, a couple of diapers, onesie, and jar of baby food/bottle. This is exactly what I was looking for AND its insulated which I didn't expect to find in backpack form. These would be great for trips to the zoo or park for bringing snacks and a cold drink. I ended up buying one for each of my kids for this reason. Pros: -well made. Zipper moves easily without catching. -insulated which also makes it easily wipe able inside -perfect size for small kids for snacks or a few toys -padded straps and safety harness -cute designs! I do wish they had a few more options to choose from. Cons: I haven't found any yet. I did notice two differences between my two bags. I was expecting something to be different because the shark and dragon are labeled upgraded vs the puppy. -The puppy had one zipper pull and the shark has two. Not a big issue for me. -Also the puppy feels a little smaller and the insulation puffs into the inside of the bag more. It's not a huge difference and the insulation will give as you fill the bag.

I was hoping for a back back for my son that would hold all of his personal care items and toys after having another baby and not wanting to carry 2 bags. The bag fits a few of his diapers, a travel wipes case, his juice cup, fruit snacks, small snack and a couple of his small toys. Perfect for what we need. I like the fact that it is insulated but I honestly haven’t used that feature. I love the harness strap and so does my son, it helps keep the bag secure to him. One day grape juice spilled on it and stained it pretty badly. I pre-treated the stain and threw the bag in the washing machine. I left it out to dry. It was like new! Definitely a plus! The leash feature doesn’t seem super secure but I have used it and it held. We weren’t out in an area where I was too afraid of him getting away from us but it did what it was supposed to do. Overall super cute little bag and functional for what we need, my son loves his little back pack!

Bought this and the dragon one for our boys. It has survived a year and a half of use , school bus and about 8 or 9 washes. Just starting to show some wear on the edges . I just washed again today and ready we are for school start again. Awesome school lunch/backpack for our toddlers. It fits the thermos lunch, water bottle, snack container and a few more things . Some days we pack a bento box instead of the thermos. It does not fit a folder but our school dos not use folders. We get a communication log about the size of a notebook. It fits an iPad inside if someone can relate . We think it is an awesome value. We used the harness when the kids were smaller and we were teaching them to walk along us in crowds . Super recommended as a lunch box/ backpack starter . Colors are beautifully and keep after this many washes !

Perfect for my 1.5 year old! It's just the right size. Fits her water bottle, gloves and hat, some snacks. I think it can fit a tablet. But it's a great size that she can actually carry. I love that it has a sternum strap to ensure it's secured and won't slide down her shoulders. Haven't tried the leash it comes with, but I'm sure it works great too. I like the colors and how they did the dino spikes, as my baby girl loves dinos!
