Deer Out 40oz Ready-to-Use Deer Repellent

My wife wanted something to deter the deer from eating her plants and I immediately thought that I could pee all over the yard since I've heard predator urine scares off the deer. Apparently, it doesn't quite work that way. Anyway, I picked up this repellent to protect the plants, and the missus is pretty impressed with how well it works. The biggest plus is that it’s super easy to use because no mixing is required. Just spray it directly on plants, and you’re good to go. It has a strong peppermint scent, (but don't taste it) which is actually pleasant compared to a lot of other repellents that smell awful (like human urine). More importantly, it seems to do a good job keeping deer away without harming them. Although I wouldn't mind fighting a deer, and the winner gets the plants... I’ve noticed a clear reduction in damage to the flowers and shrubs after using it consistently. It also lasts longer than expected, and I didn’t have to reapply constantly, even after some rain. The spray bottle works fine; no issues. Overall, this is a solid, natural deer repellent that actually helps protect your garden. If you’re dealing with deer eating your plants and want an alternative to tackling them, this might be your answer. Good luck!

This will be my third time buying this product. And it works. Deer will stop trying to eat the plants once it tries to get a leaf of this stuff. Just make sure you are keeping up with additional applications. It will wear off after some time or if you get heavy rain for a few days. I highly recommend reapplication as soon as the weather allows.

This product seems to work better than other deer repellents I’ve tried, but the spray bottle barely works. The nozzle has three settings: Off, Stream, and Spray (mist). The stream setting barely yields a dribble that squirts about 6-10”. The spray setting produces a light mist that is so fine you have to look closely to see if anything is coming out. In the end, I just dribble the solution on the plants I want to protect. Irritating and time-consuming. It’s amazing to me that a reasonably effective product like this is hampered by the technology of the common plastic spray bottle.

This works! Used it in my garden most of last summer. It kept the deer away from my corn, I only lost two ears of corn in 3 short rows. Wish I had used it on my snap peas!

Works so far. My roses are growing back without incident. Buy more though. Oh and be careful the top will come off and you'll spill it. Bad cap. It works though.

Best product out there. I bought this in January. Thinking spring, I wanted to be ready. Wouldn’t you know the sprayer won’t work! Guess I’m out of luck because it’s March 10 and I can’t get a replacement. Hopefully I can try to find a different spray bottle. I’ve been using this for3 years and it’s works in NH.

Stinks! Not that effective and turns leafs a milky color

Smell is actually pleasant, easy to use. Hard to tell about effectiveness because the deer come and go, and because it has rained quite a bit. After about 2 weeks and some rain the plants looked nibbled again. Updated: I still think this is a worthwhile product but am skeptical about the rain-proof claim. I’m applying about every 2-3 weeks now, not monthly.
