Fatboy Original Bean Bag, Red

I was very nervous about this purchase, because of how big everyone said it would be. They were not joking, this thing is very large - especially when you live in a very small (<900sqft) home. However, it is so versatile that the size hasn't been a problem. Some people said things like "you wouldn't want to lug this thing around the house," and I completely disagree. We've moved ours around a lot. It's light and easy to move. I had also been concerned about our cat destroying it, but as someone commented on my question, the fabric does not really entice her to claw at it, and when she did jump on it and started to slide, her claws wouldn't even grab on and she just kept sliding. I give it an A+ on quality, resistant material. There are some seating options with it that none of the advertisements or videos offered. I found my favorite option through a different company offering a similar style of bean bag. You stand it upright, get all the beads in the bottom as you can, tuck one corner at the bottom under the bag, and tuck the corner above that down into the center of the top of the bag. Hold up the back, top corner, and sit. It makes a tear-drop shape that holds you up very well and is perfect. I have found tucking corners in when sitting on it really helps give structure when I get settled in. I also bought it mostly to be used as a "whole room" ottoman. It's big enough that we can "fold" it in half "hamburger style" and shift the beads evenly to each half and it sits up perfectly as an ottoman for several different seats in our living room. I didn't see anywhere where someone was using it for an ottoman. Thankfully it's such an intuitive thing to work with, you can play with it just a little and figure out how to use it to suit your preferences. I give this product 5 stars for quality, versatility, comfort, and style. It's a great product and the price I paid (~$200) was just right for such a unique, versatile piece.

Absolutely amazing! This is one of the best if not thee best bean bag on the market. Pros: - It's huge enough for you to sleep on it. - The quality is incredible - Does not get dirt easily - Extremely durable - Very cushioning - Flexible (you can use it as a bed or chair) - Provides a lot of support when sitting on it Con: - If you have a small room this could take up a lot of space - Can be a little pricey but its worth it. The build quality is superb. Overall: I bought two Fatboys (one teal and one lime green). We used them for over 2 years and they still look and feel brand new. The foam beads have not been deformed nor have they lost their comfort. It truly is an amazing product and I would highly recommend them to anyone that want to buy an excellent quality bean bag. I know this is a little pricey, but it's completely worth it. Again, I have had them for two years and they have not ripped, lost form or comfort, and have gotten dirty.

Nicely made bean bag. We don't use it as much as we thought we would, though, so it takes up a lot of space for how much it gets used. Pet hair tends to gather around the bottom on our wood floor, but I would suspect that's the same with any nylon furniture.

A lot of beanbags tend to be best used in a particular position but the Fatboy is a great all rounder given its size and durability. The bag itself is not made of cloth but nylon which should put up with a bit more punishment and be more resistant to stains and water (although I've not tested this aspect). Unless you are doing something crazy you won't get the feeling that this beanbag will explode spilling its beans in the general vicinity. After using this for a couple of weeks now I could honestly say that I could go to sleep in one of these beanbags as it is very comfortable and large enough for most adults. You'll not want to get out of the Fatboy once you are all comfy but therein lies perhaps the only drawback - it might be an exercise in itself to get out of it! Granted, this is one of the pricier beanbags on the market but the size and quality should see you through many years of use that should well offset the initial cost.

So comfortable, so huge, so much fun, so entertaining for my son to climb on... The turquoise is a really nice color. BUT -- I wish that it had more stuffing. The beads flattened out very, very quickly. My 15 month old son was the only one using it, and it lost a lot of it's shape fast. I guess we'll have to spend even more money buying more stuffing so that it doesn't look like a huge deflated bag laying on the floor.

Eh, we bought this for my teenaged son to use in his bedroom. After a week it became a "place to stick clean laundry instead of putting it in the dresser." Pfft. So I started bringing it out into the living room so I could lie down and browse the web, or whatever. This was great, apart from the caveats listed further down in the review. Each time I was done, we put it in his room again for storage, and he stopped using it as a laundry shelf. However, I was using it tonight and got up to get a drink of water, and our cat climbed up and peed all over it. It soaked into the cover before I could get paper towels to blot it up, and since the cover is not removable, we had no option but to discard it. Big annoyance. The frustrating thing is that this cat has happily used the beanbag as a bed, occasionally, and we don't know why he suddenly decided it was a litter box. :-( I realize this is not the fault of Fatboy, and this is not the reason I only gave three stars. I'm just putting that out there for other cat owners to beware. The reason I dropped to three stars is, if you're lying down on it, it's supremely awkward to get OFF the darn thing. Impossible for me while holding a laptop, so I had to set the laptop well out of range and then clamber around like a monkey trying to get back on my feet. And of course the fact that we can't remove the cover and launder it, that's a problem. To be fair, that would probably not have helped in our particular problem instance because cats can still smell 1 part per...million?...of urine, even if it's been laundered with scented soap, and he would probably just have returned to the scene of the crime. But in general, it seems like a removable cover should be an easy-care feature. I mean, kids spill stuff, etc. Removable would be nice. Lastly, the final star drops because eventually, as you sit or lie down on this, the beans shift away from the 'under butt' and spread out to the sides, so that after a half hour or so, there are no beans underneath you, and then you're basically just sitting on the floor. So that gets uncomfortable too. We really thought we'd love this, but it wasn't that great, not at this price. We're not going to replace it, even if we get rid of the cat.

I saw a Fatboy bean bag chair and ordered one but also tried the ottoman for another chair. The ottoman size is perfect and the color is subtle with a slight sheen to it. Very good for houses with kids and animals. I use my bean bag Fatboy for a comfortable, easy to move chair in my bedroom. They are super tough and durable while at the same time attractive and comfortable. I'm going to try a brighter color next time for variety but the dark grey color for the ottoman and chair were perfect for me. This char is also surprisingly light and easy to move. On cleaning days I just throw it on the bed to move it out of the way.

My Fatboy bean bag faded really fast and got bubbles on it. I think it was defective. I wrote to the customer service few times but they never replied. I had to throw it away because it was looking so bad !!

[Vorweg: Die Farbe des Sitzsacks "Taupe" ist doch deutlich dunkler als auf den Abbildungen oben] Hat man den Sitzsack aus dem leichten Riesenpaket ausgepackt, steht er nun in voller Größe vor einem - 180cm sind angegeben, er verliert ein paar CM wegen der Befüllung. Die Befüllung ist genau richtig und kann nachträglich durch ein überzeugendes Klett-/Reißverschlusssystem am Sitzsack erweitert werden. Das Außenmaterial ist tatsächlich wie eine Autoplane - jedoch hat das Material entscheidende Vorteile: Es verleiht dem Sack aufgrund seiner Stabilität seine Struktur, es scheint deutlich haltbarer als Stoffsitzsäcke und es ist problemlos abwaschbar! Nun hat man 2 verschiedene Möglichkeiten: Entweder man stellt den Sitzsack senkrecht auf und nutzt ihn als Sitzgelegenheit oder man legt ihn horizontal hin und legt sich rein. Ich habe mich zuerst hingesetzt: Man setzt sich hin und merkt wie überschüssige Luft entweicht und sich das Material an den Körper formt. Hierbei ist mir ein leichter Geruch aufgefallen, welcher jedoch nicht zu intensiv ist und schnell verfliegt. Zudem hört man noch ein paar Sekunden wie sich die Syroporkügelchen im Sack verteilen, danach ist Ruhe. Der Sack ermöglicht einem aufgrund der Größe sich hinten anzulehnen - Zu meiner Überraschung droht der Sack zu keinem Zeitpunkt umzufallen. Nun sitzt man in einer sehr konfortablen und stabilen Sitzgelegeheit. Das zu Anfang ungemütlich wirkende Außenmaterial wirkte nun wie ein fester, glatter, wärmender und stabiler Sofabezug. Die Arme kann man seitlich auf sich ergebenden Armlehnen ablegen. Ja, ich gebe zu, hier sind viele Spielereien möglich - was nicht immer von Vorteil ist. kein Sofaersatz Zum einen bietet der Sitzsack natürlich nur Platz für eine Person (wenn man sich nicht zu gern hat). Zum anderen ist seine Stärke, die Struktur, auch seine größte Schwäche: Vor allem in kleinen Räumn nimmt er ordentlich Platz ein und steht sehr "fat" im Raum. Auch hat man nach dem Feierabend nicht immer genug Nerven das klobige Teil zu positionieren - die Füße kann man natürlich auch nicht hochlegen. Wer sich jedoch der Nachteile des Sitzsacks im Allgemeinen bewusst ist, der findet in dieser Kategorie keinen besseren. Deswegen vergebe ich volle Punktzahl. Überzeugende Qualität & Starkes Komfortwunder! Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Bought this for my Niece who was 3 YO at the time. She loved it right from the start and is still using it over a year later. This is a comfortable, durable, and high quality product.

Vérifier bien toutes les offres des vendeurs ( il y a pléthore!), car pour un même produit l'écart est du simple au double en matière de prix , et ce qui est le plus étonnant, il change quotidiennement. J ai acheté mes 2 FATBOYS à 137,5€ pièces. Le lendemain ils étaient à 199 et aujourd'hui à 154... Mystère de la vente en ligne ( peut être s'agit il d'achats groupés mais dans ce cas le délai de livraison est souvent très long). De plus ils ont été livré à un jour d'intervalle...??? ( même boutique pourtant..)
