Be Angry, But Don't Blow It: Maintaining Your Passion Without Losing Your Cool Review: Powerfully practical. - Never has a book described my experience in such gritty detail with such eye-opening wisdom. This book is fantastic. It shares a powerful truth about dealing with anger and is filled with biblical wisdom to deal with it. Love the author’s style as well. Easy reading. Review: A Five-Star Review Based on a Single Anecdote - Full disclosure: I have read all of two-and-a-half pages of Lisa Bevere's new book. Truly, based on those few pages, I could cease to read the rest of the book and walk away perfectly satisfied and changed. Why, you may ask? Because in reading the one anecdote Bevere highlights - the hook of the book - I was able to breathe a sigh of relief and praise the Lord with "It's not just me!" I have lived every single second of her unbreakable-dish-through-a-window story (though my story varies a little in that it was a hairdryer and a hole in a door). I have felt so unbearably ashamed of my tantrum, but in the heat of the moment, have had the hardest time controlling it. When I do "blow it," I can't even fathom that the Spirit could be dwelling in me - a sinner of a repeat offense that just can't seem to learn. I am definitely quick to anger and slow to listen. So what I can already tell about this book is this: Bevere is going to get real. She is going to walk me through her own shameful tantrums and make me feel a little less alone. She is going to point to a bigger-than-me Jesus, who teaches that anger itself is not a sin - if it is His righteous anger. These things I know. These things I have studied . . . in detail. So, no matter what the rest of the book says, I can know this: the Lord put this book in my hands to comfort this broken daughter, encouraging her to be angry and not blow it, all the while showing her that we all struggle and fall short. But He is faithful, and when we need a little comfort, He is sure to provide it.

Good book
First time reading/ listening to a book by this author and it was good overall. It is anecdotal or personal experience based with some Bible verses mixed in.

I'm enjoying this book. It surprised me how much when I saw how Christian it is. That being said, I'm not opposed to learning different point of view. This woman has a lot of insight to dealing with various types of anger.
