Does this gaming microphone work for discord & in game verbal chat?

Yes, it works perfectly and gives a clear and crisp sound quality.

My mic goes from barely picking up anything, to ear rape levels of loud, without me changing anything, how can I fix this?

As far as I know, you can't. The settings you select will only work for a little bit and then it'll do whatever it wants. I quit trying to fix it and just used something else instead. This mic is absolute garbage

it's my experience that this is inherent in the Garageband software. It works better with Audacity. I have the same problem.
