Watched a bunch of videos of people chancing the lift/reverse gate mechanism and decided no way, too much effort. So I just got this ball. When you first put it on, it is a) backwards and b) way to high. I used my dremel and a router bit and extended the hole: they only drill on about an inch. I doubled it. Adjusted so that it is fully tight and facing the right way. Note; There is a white piece of plastic that you can still see when the reverse gate is lowered: I used a sharp and colored it black, looks perfect.
