Upon removing the reward chart from the box, I was instantly surprised by the weight. It had a much sturdier feel than I expected. Once the plastic wrap was removed, the quality or the stars and task magnets was readily apparent. These are important features for a product that will be frequently handled by two young children. The concept was easy to explain and my children were very excited about tracking their stars for a reward. The first request was a piece of gum, a small price to pay for a weeks worth of not teasing the younger sibling and getting dressed independently! This product also comes with a nicely written instruction/greeting page that ties together the quality construction and attention to detail that this company put into its product. My only suggestion for improvement is an independent "Reading" task. While "Homework" may suffice, reading on its own is a concept we are really trying to stress this year.

This board works well for the purpose with my kid. The items stick to the board, but the birds magnets don’t hold it to a fridge, freezer, or other metal sheet. Had to use a magnetic hook to set this where desired.

We love this reward chart! It’s beautifully printed and the magnets are great quality- they never fall off. My 4 year old loves adding a star when he accomplishes one of his tasks. He’s always so proud! And I love that this set included so many different magnets - tons of reward stars and a wide variety of behaviors (both good and bad) to help my little guy stay on track. We’re so happy that we made this part of our daily routine.

The star reward board is a big hit in our house! While our little one still loves being babied, I’ve never seen him be so eager to get ready in the morning to earn his stars! The kids love trying to figure out what else they can do - set the table, clean up toys, etc. - to see and post their stars on the board. They love being part of the process and we truly think the positive reinforcement is helping make this successful! Also, the board is placed prominently on the front of our fridge with no issues, even though it has a slight curve. The magnetic stars stay on the board as well. We love the board so much that we gifted one to our sister :)

So this is the size i need, in the style i wanted, and with easy to understand pictures for chores/behaviors, however what was not mentioned is that it is not fully magnetic. Its a completely stiff and rigid board that cannot be placed kn the fridge...well at least not mine... If your fridge has even the slightest curve to it, which every fridge i know does, (we tried it on the 2 we own and at both grandparents and it would not stay on either), then this will not work for you unless your plan is to hang on the wall. It does work on the side of the fridge however that placement will not work for my family as its not easily seen or accessible for us. Unfortunately it has to be returned and im super bumped as i spent alot of time looking and this is the only chart that would work size and style wise....

I needed something to teach my kids the importance of helping with chores. This one cost a little more than some of the others, but I went with this one for the following reasons. It has pictures for the chores as well as words. The pictures are clear and well describe the chore. This is particularly good because I have a young child who can't read and an older child who can read. So they both know what each chore is. I also like that there are 9 chore slots as opposed to 5-7 on other charts. The magnets work well and I like that you can put it on the fridge or hang it. The only thing I would likes is a bag for the remaining chores and stars, so they don't get lost. The other thing that I liked a lot about this chore chart is that it included behavior as well as chores. It helps to hold the kids accountable for not just helping out around the house, but also for their behavior. At the moment, this chart is working for us. I hope it continues to do so.

Positive reinforcement works. With twins we have two sets. There is a lot less drama and more smiling faces. Both 3 & 1/2 year olds respond quickly on tasks and behavior management when they they know they can add their own stars to the chart. Keep it simple at first. They receive simple rewards at the end of a good day and at the end of great week they receive a bigger surprise. Magnets work and do not mar the refrigerator.
