My pellet grill only came with 1 probe, but had ports for 2. I ordered these because the price was much better than the Pit-Boss branded ones and hoped for the best. These probes work perfectly. I hooked up the probe my smoker came with in 1 port and one of these in the other and shoved them both together into a brisket. Both probes were within a few degrees of each other throughout the smoke. Satisfied that they are accurate I use whichever are clean at any time - I can't tell these apart from the original one. They also come with a pair of nice little clips that pop into your grill in case you want to monitor the ambient temp. For things like sausages I find it really handy to have multiple temp readings so I know what is going on across the grill. I can have these in opposite corners at grill level, the smoke box temp that is all the way to one side and the built in thermometer in the lid. This lets me know where my hot spots are and move things around accordingly. Would definitely buy again.

Somehow the probes that came with my not so cheap Spider Grills Huntsman stopped working pretty soon after ordering. So far these have integrated just fine into the Venom controller and temp seems accurate!

I recently bought a new pellet grill that did come with a probe. After my first cook using the probe, the probe died and just gave an error on the grill. I reached out to the grill manufacturer and they sent me a new probe. After another cook with the second probe, the probe once again died. I was concerned that there may be an issue with the grill. I decided to go ahead and order this two pack on Amazon to help in the troubleshooting. I have now completed numerous cooks with one of the probes in this two pack and have not had a single issue. The probes work as advertised and greatly aided me in my troubleshooting. I would not hesitate to order this product again.

These have outlasted the original probes that came with my smoker. They seem to be accurate with temps and and still in great working condition. I use them 3-5 times a week.

I bought this hoping to add a second meat probe to my Spider Grills Venom. The probes are well constructed and are thick. If you like a thin meat probe then this may be too thick for your liking. I measured the resistance of the probe with my Ohmmeter and with the tip in water measuring 32 degrees Fahrenheit the resistance was 1000 ohms on the money. I put the probes in 186 degree water... confirmed by my carry around probe... and as you can see from the screen shot, the temps were within +/- 2 degrees. The packaging was good, the probes arrived in mint condition. If you mainly probe small cuts of meat, then the thickness of the probe may be an issue but to me I really like these probes. Highly recommended so far.

Works with the Pit Boss controller as advertised. I've only used 1 of the 2 probes. Has been working great for 9 months along with the probe that came with the smoker. There is a 2-3 degree difference between this probe and stock Pit Boss probe. But it's not a problem at all. I just verify with the instant read thermometer.

4 years into smoking, the included temperature probe started drifting too hot. When the probe read 160F, the actual temperature was around 145F using 3 other thermometers. Cleaning didn't help. I replaced it with one of these and the temperature readings all match within 2-3 degrees F when checked in ice water and boiling water. I know Pit Boss will probably replace the original since it's still under warranty but these were delivered overnight and are so inexpensive, I could use the spare as a backup because these probes are expendable items and 3-4 years of regular use inside the smoker will take it's toll.
