How is this watch different from Vivoactive 4 besides the display?

I got the Venu over the Vivoactive 4 simply because of the display. I personally didnt see any notable differences between the two models. if you are looking for detailed differences you should compare the specs between the two. The only thing i can see a difference in is the battery life/display. Based on over a month of usage, on average i get a solid 6-7 days of regular usage.

Does the Garmin Venu´s display stay permanently on?

Certain watch faces seem to have more trouble staying on than others. Also, the image does not stay permanently on, just the time.

Can i change the watch band on the garmin venu?

Yes. You can replace it with other 20mm bands. None of them fit as well as the original, since the distance between the lugs is slightly greater than 20mm. Some cheaper replacement bands can easily be pulled out if you knock your watch up against something.

Is there a waterproof mode?

No it doesn't have a waterproof mode that allows you to press a buttonand activates water proof Iron Man suit but you can put a ziploc bag over it and duct tape it water tight.
