DocoShield Lip Balm w/Docosanol and Lysine (3-Pack)

Ok so far this stuff is amazing. I thought it was supposed to not have a scent but it does have a subtle strawberry scent which I personally really like. It's so moisturizing and I saw another review saying it's thicker than regular chapstick but in a good way and I can't agree more. I think that's what makes it better than regular chapstick because then it lasts for so much longer. I didn't get it in time before my cold sore but when I got my sore it helped it feel better and heal better. It was kind of expensive but honestly I feel like it's worth it so far!

My daughter is in elementary school and somehow contracted cold sores. Managing them with a young kid can be tough. But this is something she can take to school and do on her own. It smells good, it's not painful, and it keeps her lips moist, which is a problem with most cold sore treatments. To treat it means to dry up the cold sore and therefore your lips. She had one starting and used this throughout the day at school, by the next day, it was already almost healed. Highly recommend.

OK so I've been using this for a while now. I got it back in September and it's August now. I still have no idea if it's actually helping with preventing cold sores. I haven't had one yet (I usually get them once a year so it'll be soon if it's going to happen) but I do want to say that I pick this out to take with me every day (I have a tonnnn of different types of lip balm lol) because I love it so much. It has a nice kind of vanilla-y scent and it's very moisturizing and glides nicely on my lips. Just be careful not to put on too much because there is a white cast. But you won't need much. Im also glad that it comes in a pack of 3 because I carry it with me everywhere I go so I've either lost or washed several lol. It gets soft easy when it's in your pocket and (like all twist up lip balms) it will start to screw upwards under the lid. So if it's hot out and it's been in your pocket be sure to screw it back down before applying it. I've had one completely break off because I didn't do that. One way to help prevent that is to put it in a tiny zip up pouch and put that in your pocket (if you like to carry it in your pocket) so that it protects rhe twist up part from.veing manipulated through being rubbed around in your pocket.

I love this lip balm it helps so much but it’s very gritty and not that smooth. You don’t get much product to the point it keeps falling out.

Pros; This is comforting to fever lip blisters. I would buy it again. Cons; Kind of expensive, and the mech that rolls the balm up, is not very helpful.

I get a cold sore in the same spot every 4-6 months. I start feeling an itch or burning sensation in the area a couple days before it surfaces. I started using this and it’s been 5 days and no cold sore or any rough patches on my lip. I was skeptical but so far, it does work.

This product really works! I love it and would use it every day to prevent cold sores and relieve them when they begin. But have bought it both with Lysine and without—except for one pack the tubes don’t work properly. Once I turned the tubes enough to raise the balm it was impossible to lower the balm down again. Hence the cover tended to get stuck on the product and created a mess. If not for this problem it would give it 5 stars and a perfect review. It’s much less messy than Abreva and if you take Lysine as a supplement you can get the Doco without Lysine which is cheaper. The balm has hardly any scent and no unpleasant taste. If only the tubes worked properly I would be very happy!

I ordered this back in March and we’re almost in October now and still have not gotten a cold sore. I’d get them anytime I was sick, on my period, stressed etc. I’ve had all of that during this time period and still no break out 🤞🏻 I put it on every night though, it’s now a part of my bed time routine. Really moisturizing as well
