Why it is NOT labeled properly.** A: It is labeled properly. These are low-rise waistline. Good for a person who doesn't want mid-rise. Especially good for a man like me with a big belly. I don't want to purchase a larger size mid-rise to stretch the waistband over my belly, so I purchased these low-rise briefs and they fit very nicely just below my belly. **Q: do these keep your junk in?** A: YUP!!! **Q: Need 36 inch waist, what size should I order?** A: Order XL size. They’re cut a little briefer, a little less fabric, a little more finish to the seams and waistband. The briefer cut gives them the slightest extra sexiness, while retaining the functional modesty of the form factor. Tagless, and feels like not much. I like the nice clean feeling of cotton rather than the stretchy clinginess of synthetics like modal or bamboo. Objectively nicer than my Fruit of the Looms without adding any flair, other than aforementioned lower rise cut. They are several times more expensive than FotL but still inexpensive — a good value for quality. Oh, and the waistband - the part people might see (more often). It’s a nice ochre and blue lines.
