Why did you pick this product vs others?: There was no other choice, I picked it by default. Does it work? Yes, Yes, Yes it works. I read that it was a difficult task to do the battery change but I did it and it works well.

This battery has already died. Phone has to be plugged in to work or it will die in 15 minutes. Won't hold a charge. Drops fast. Junk.

Not the first battery i've had to replace in my LG G7 ThinQ. Both previous ones swelled up to the point they popped my back cover off the phone inside my phone case. Thankfully neither previous battery every exploded. Hoping this one lasts a bit longer but did notice that the battery had much less charge capacity than either of my previous batteries: only 3000 mAh or so on this one. So far it seems to keep a charge decently well but time will tell whether it retains that capacity. 3 Stars because if you've never installed a battery before like this one you would probably have zero clue what to do with all the extra tools in this pack. 0 instructions with it, only the battery and tools thrown in a tiny cardboard box. Thankfully I've had to change one before so I knew the lil blue guitar pick looking item is for splitting the adhesive connected back plate off the phone and the tiny screw drivers are mostly redundant, of the 3-4 diff ones (one not even a screwdriver, just a little pointy tool) only ONE is actually needed for this phone model, a tiny phillips for the dozen or so screws inside the phone. Also attaching the cable connector of the battery to the phone is a huge pain cause the small strip of wires out of the top of the battery is a set formation and doesn't fit 100% perfectly while the battery is seated into it's spot. I would definitely advise holding the connector over the correct spot and pushing down to latch them together(use the pointy tool if needed) before resting the battery below it and seating it firmly in place. The small metal ring with a point is for popping the sim card/SD card holder out of the top of phone, and the long blue plastic 'crowbar' is for prying the battery out of it's seated area when it's still stuck with adhesive inside. Also a few extra adhesive strips are included if you need to re-affix things(battery or back plate) to keep them connected again.

It fit the LG Thin Q phone perfectly, used a youtube video to capture the basic procedure for replacing the battery. The magnetic screw driver in the tool kit is a real plus fir the tiny screws. It all went well and the new battery is charging and the phone is working great.
