The best racing wheel at this price point, with room to grow into it.
Considering what this wheel/pedal set is, I don't think there's a better set for this sort of money. The older G25 and G27 used to come with a shifter admittedly, but even without that this still has its value. It is a gear-based force feedback system which some people may not like compared to belt-driven wheels from Thrustmaster around the $400 range, but then that's also a significant step up in price. Perhaps the most important thing to me and possibly others is that this is a wheel made out of real leather and real metal (excluding the face buttons) and the wheel and pedals can be mounted to a wheel stand or racing cockpit out of the box. This is HUGE for me, as cheaper Thrustmaster wheels such as the T150/TMX are made of rubber and plastic and cannot be mounted without adapters, while others can't be mounted at all. If you're a beginner who doesn't know if you're going to want to put money into a full racing setup, this is possibly the biggest reason I can say this is the wheel for you - should you decide you want a wheel stand or cockpit, you will be able to mount this to any hardware you purchase and the wheel can grow with you. I do have faith in Logitech reliability to last long enough to see this as well, as I have a Logitech Driving Force GT that is 15 years old and still works perfectly fine (I purchased this as an upgrade from that). I also do recommend this particular wheel over the G29 unless you are purchasing it explicitly for Xbox usage - for PC, get this one. The G29 is missing several buttons and the shift light indicator for the same, if not more, money. Even games like Forza which were previously xbox exclusive can and will recognize (and have presets for) this wheel on the PC versions (tested with Forza Motorsport 7 and Forza Horizon 5). The only downside I can think of with this wheel is the brake pedal - this is something others have noted as well, as Logitech made the strange decision to put a block of rubber into the pedal to simulate a load-cell pedal type by making you have to push hard on the rubber to get the brake to fully depress. The block is removable with basic tools and the pedals are even relatively modifiable, though I have not done so yet. It is not a major issue - the brake pedal works perfectly fine with it, but you may find it annoying. There is the newer G923 wheel as well, but I do not consider that to be as worthwhile due to its increased $400 price. As previously mentioned, the Thrustmaster T300, a leather/metal, belt-drive, and mountable wheel also costs $400, meaning you would at that point have to directly compare them. I see very few advantages of the G923 over the G920 outside of its vibrating wheel feedback, something only a few racing simulators even support. I would personally stick with this one rather than pay thrustmaster money for a gimmick that may or may not even be supported in the games you plan on playing.

Great Gift!
The Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel and Pedals, paired with the Driving Force Shifter, delivers an incredibly immersive racing experience. The force feedback is responsive and realistic, making every turn, bump, and road texture feel authentic. The real leather wheel feels premium and comfortable, and the pedals provide solid resistance that adds to the realism. Setup is straightforward, and it works seamlessly across PS5, PS4, PC, and Mac. The shifter is a great addition for anyone who enjoys a more hands-on, true-to-life driving experience. Overall, this is a high-quality racing setup thatโs perfect for both casual players and serious racing fans.

Love this Wheel!
I bought this gaming wheel back in 2018 primary for Gran Turismo Sport on my PS4. Then lost interest in the game and the wheel was stored in an attic for a few years. I purchased Gran Turismo 7 for my PS5 and was concerned that the wheel may no longer work due to being stored in an attic with extreme seasonal temperatures. I brought it out in the middle of winter, let it warm up for about an hour to room temperature before plugging anything in and the wheel still works like new. Highly recommend if you like racing games.

Great for the price
Overall the build quality is solid, nothing seems too cheap or flimsy, itโs easy to use and set up and works well with assetto corsa, forza 5, and race room. The mounting system is well designed, itโs secure but easy to uninstall if you want to move it. but if itโs trying to be the same as a car it needs some work, the clutch pedal feels almost the same as the gas and with how good the brake feels I was expecting a bit better, the paddle shifters are way too mushy it should be a bit or resistance with a nice click of the whole paddle not a linear motion with a mouse button click at the end, the wheel itself is also tiny itโs smaller than the ones that come on the new civics, though that was probably a compromise to save space. I really canโt complain much because it wasnโt that expensive the feedback feels nice it looks nice it works well and it doesnโt feel like itโs gonna fall apart any time soon Iโve just been spoiled by driving real cars so I know how these things should feel, and having such a stark difference in the components makes it feel more like a toy than I wouldโve liked, but Iโm not complaining Iโm just trying to be descriptive itโs a great product with Logitechs great quality I also appreciate the amount of metal used as far as I can tell the only plastic is the outer casing and the buttons and that plastic feels really good too, they clearly put the money where they needed to with this product.

Great deal on a great wheel.
I got a great deal on this wheel on amazon; they were running a special and I was able to buy it brand-new for $286.99. The price has since gone back to $399.99... I have it mounted on a Playseat evolution. Pros: It works with PS3, PS4 and PC. I've only tested this on PS4 playing DriveClub and Project Cars. In both games, the wheel is fantastic out of the box and can be modified to the user's preferences, more so in Project Cars than in DriveClub but never the less... The force feedback is pretty good. This is my first wheel of the kind so I have no prior experience to compare it to but I think most gamers would appreciate it. The pedals are better than anything out there at this price range. Compared to the T300 which comes with plastic pedals and no clutch, the Logitech pedals are very sturdy and work well. The buttons on the wheel are excellent for PS4 and let you navigate around without needing the standard controller. The wheel can't power on the PS4 though, I've noticed. So I usually use the dualshock to turn it on and then login with the wheel. Mounting to a playseat: the wheel itself is pretty easy to mount. The screw holes lined up perfectly with the platform on the chair however the pedals where a bit more challenging. I managed to mount the pedals with 2 screws but it took some effort to get it going. The screw holes will not easily line up with the pedals and you will have to spend some time looking for them.. but in the end, it does mount. Looks: the wheel is leather wrapped and feels solid. the buttons are good enough. The pedals are metal and they look and feel like they can take a beating. The paddle shifters are of good quality; better quality than my car in real life that has plastic paddle shifters. Cons: The obvious one is the not including a shifter and selling it for $400. Like I said earlier, i bought mine for $286.99 so I'm satisfied but for $400, they really should include the shifter. The wheel itself is a little small. Once you start playing, you will forget that and won't care much but they really should make it a little bit bigger Overall, I'm pretty happy with the purchase. I was between this and the Thrustmaster T300. In the end, the discounted price on amazon is what sealed the deal for me on this wheel. I figured it was worth a try and if I didn't like it, I would return it. I really enjoy it so far. I have about 10 hours of playing time on it and haven't encountered any issues. A lot of people claim the G29 build is a refresh of the G27 model for PS3 and PC that has a pretty good reliability record. I'm taking one star for the size of the wheel and not including a shifter. Otherwise, this is a great wheel and a must have if you really want to enjoy playing racing games. I don't think I can go back to playing a racing game with a traditional controller, ever. One thing to keep in mind: a lot of the reviews you will read, no necessarily on amazon, come from former Logitech G27 owners who are seemingly angry with Logitech for not upgrading the software on their wheels to make it compatible with PS4. While I fully understand their complaint and I would be too if I was in their position, it shouldn't take away from how good the G29 is for PS4. My experience has been a pleasant one and I hope it will be as reliable as the G27 models that so many people seem to be fond of.

Great starter wheel!
Purchased this for American Truck Simulator on PC. Never owned a wheel before, but I am finding this to be absolutely worth it for what I bought it for. Build quality is good. Clamps do feel kind of cheap, but get the job done without issue. Wheel and pedals themselves feel great. Has plenty of buttons for custom configurations. Was extremely easy to set up and connect. I really have little negative to say about this product. You cant do custom bindings for the pedals through logitech's software which is kind of annoying (wouldve been cool to remap the clutch pedal to an ebrake or something when driving automatics for example) and the clamps dont fit thicker desks - although 3rd party solutions exist. Its fine how it is though and works as intended. Cant speak on how the product performs in other kinds of driving games, but I would guess its still a step above gamepads. This product is a fantasitic mix of quality, features, price point, and ease of use. Im finding this to be a nice starter wheel so far that checks all boxes, and would reccomend the shifter that goes with it if youve already bought this wheel, are enjoying it, and looking for extra ways to enhance your simulated driving experience.

Outstanding Wheel at a Great Price
First a frame of reference. I use this for Gran Turismo Sport on the PS4. I previously had a Driving Force Pro from Logitec as well. Iโve played each iteration of Gran Turismo since the original Gran Turismo (it was not called GT1) and have used a wheel on that game starting w/ Gran Turismo 3 (a-spec) and have logged . . . about a billion miles. I love this wheel dearly. Iโll talk about the pedals separately. The operation is very smooth and itโs much quieter than my old DFP. Metal paddle shifters are wonderful; Iโll add a shifter once itโs supported in a GT game. There is a blue metal band on the top of the wheel making it easy to find center (for those of us who care about that) so itโs not a line of tape that will come loose or fade over time. For me itโs precise as all get out. After using a controller for the first few months I was ecstatic about how I could place my car around the track. But it wonโt make anyone a championship driver . . . youโll just have more precision. There is a full complement of buttons on the wheel including (bottom to top) a PS button, Options button and Share button below the center of the wheel. It may take some time to get used to; Iโve hit the share button while trying to pause the game during a practice session. Thatโs my only quibble. The rotary dial can be used to select the level while the +/- button changes what setting youโre manipulating during a race; you can remap the wheels buttons in the options menu. Getting my PS4 to recognize my wheel off the bat was easy . . . once I figured out just what to do. I leave my wheel plugged in, turn on the PS4 from the unit itself, then โ once the blue screen comes up โ press the PS button on the wheel. I mention this because initially I was using my controller to wake up the PS4 and it would take quite some time before the wheel could be used. I hope that helps anyone whoโs run into the same issue. NOW ABOUT THE PEDAL SETUP I kept this separate because of all the reviews mentioning the pedals. The gas offers very little resistance in comparison to the brakes. The brakes may feel very stiff to others; I myself was somewhat prepared due to the reviews. Compared to my old DFP, the effort required to operate the brake pedal is gargantuan . . . but thatโs not a problem. It feels much more like the brakes Iโve used in my (limited) time on the track. The brake has more resistance than the ones in my Buick, but I was able to get used to that. For me it has a much more sporting feel. **UPDATE 7/29** After some checking it appears the rubber inside the brake - which causes that resistance - is supposed to simulate a load cell. The brake has a certain amount of travel to a point, then you apply more pressure and modulate how much stopping power you get. It's a bit grabby to work with at first, but I REALLY REALLY love it now. Just took the better part of an afternoon to make it part of my routine. Trail braking is easier too. Back to the original review... ******* In game Iโve noticed something. When using a controller, I have less braking power, but with the pedals โ when I really stand on the brakes โ the stopping ability is increased. I credit that to the game itself, recognizing what a driver can do with her/his feet vs. the amount of travel available w/ the triggers on the controller. It definitely took some getting used to but the amount of modulation I get from the gas AND the brakes has lowered my lap times tremendously. Lastly, the price of this is awesome in comparison. A $700.00 wheel is not in my budget, and this is the one Iโd decided to target. It came up on Prime Day and I snapped it up . . . but Iโd planned on buying it eventually at the regular price. Itโs smooth and quiet, precise and a great wheel. Worth every penny. Now I just need a correct wheel stand! The X-Celerator(?) Big Boy stand I have worked for the DFP; the pedals on the G29 are way too big. TL;DR: Great wheel, Brake pedal takes effort to push but itโs worth it, HIGHLY recommended for price. Hope this helps.

No prior wheel exp before buying this
Edited: NFS2015 does not work on PS4 as of yet. Pretty sad about this... I never owned a steering wheel. I have never used the G27, played a few racing games at the local arcade (Initial D, Max Tuning or whatever) and on my friend's setup ages ago which I can't even remember what it was. I've been researching wheels since earlier this year, before the G29 was announced and through out. I was considering the Fanatec Porsche, Thrustmaster 300RS and the 500RS as well as waiting a bit to save up for a Fanatec Clubsports... Well, I wasn't sure how much I'd get into racing games so I held off for awhile reading reviews and I couldn't commit to nearly 1k dollars for a Fanatec CSP set and frankly speaking all the bad reviews scared me away from Thrustmaster. So it was either the Logitech G27 or the G29. Well I'm glad I went with the G29. Originally I thought I didn't need to get PS4 support but I realized that most of my friends play consoles for racing rather than PC gaming so I figured I'd get the one that has the support. This works right out of the box for GT6 on the PS3 and it is awesome. I never got into that game because it was too hard for me to play with controller, but this, this made it so much more fun. The other games I've tried so far is Project Cars and Grid Autosports. Project cars is a weird one for me, initially it worked but after tweaking some settings it messed up my controls (pedals were backwards) and had to fiddle with the settings to get them to work right. Grid Autosports just straight up doesn't work. I gave up. Not even gonna bother with the headache. Menu keeps scrolling, can't change keys, stuck facing backwards and steering doesn't engage. I don't know if it's the Logitech software, my settings for the wheel, or the game but I gave up. It doesn't work in Need for Speed Undercover. Couldn't get to the settings. I'm just waiting for the new Need for Speed reboot, preordered it and waiting to play with friends. Plus GT7 sometime maybe next year. Controls wise it feels fine, I was a bit skeptical of the wheel size since it seemed so tiny but it actually is really practical. I'm amazed on how small the actual wheel base is and it's pretty quiet. The pedals aren't bad, but I have nothing to compare to besides arcade ones. I may consider getting Fanatec's Clubsport V2 or V3 later on but for me it works fine. The paddle shifters work fine, I had a 2015 Mustang rental recently and it had paddle shifters and these feel about the same, if not better. I have my wheel base mounted to a Obutto Ozone cockpit, works great, pedals I haven't figured out how to properly mount yet but they aren't slipping everywhere so I'll figure something out later. Final conclusion: At this price I wish it included the stick shift. The driver support is a bit whack. I don't get how to get games to work on it but it works fine in consoles. The profiles are a joke for this inside the Logitech suite. Half are still assigned to keyboard. I don't regret it though. It's a lot of fun and a totally different gaming exp. Edit: So I've had this for over a month now, and to be honest... I still love it. I'm just disappointed with the lack of game support. Project Cars isn't a bad game but the cars I like aren't in it and the style of driving is.... not really something I find all that fun. GT6 is awesome on the PS3, I play one or two races daily. Don't buy the stick shift. It isn't worth it. It works in Project Cars. That's the only game I personally can confirm it works. Games I've played so far that work with this wheel, NFS: The Run (a bit awful though, can't really adjust settings, not very fun), Project Cars PC, GT6 (ps3) and thats it so far that i've gotten to work without too much fiddling. Games that don't work that I've tried, The Crew (PS4), NFS 2015 (PS4), NFS Undercover, Grid Autosports (this is kinda weird one, it works for some, I haven't found a way around it) I do want to add that this is kinda bs as some of the games on some websites say they are supported. Do research to make sure it's compatible with the games you plan to play.

Much better than expected
Having read up on it, I wasn't sure whether to buy this or wait for the new Fanatec DD thats due end of the year. But after hearing that it wont be supporting PS5 initially, I bit the bullet and ordered this. People talk about the gearing being notchy, and maybe it is compared to the high end ones, but having not used those I think this is great and can't feel it. It would be great if it was somehow wireless as there are a bunch of wires all over the place, but I guess technology isn't there yet. Paired with a racing seat (FGT Lite) its an amazing set up for not a lot of money. Highly recommended.

5-Star Review: Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel - Unmatched Immersion!
The Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel has completely transformed my racing game experience. This setup is nothing short of phenomenal and offers an incredible level of immersion that a standard controller simply cannot match. From the moment you unbox it, the quality is evident. The build is solid, with a comfortable, hand-stitched leather wheel and robust metal pedals that feel substantial underfoot. The force feedback is a game-changer, providing incredibly realistic sensations of grip, terrain, and impacts. You truly feel every bump and every slide, making driving exhilarating and challenging in the best possible way. The pedal unit is excellent, offering precise control over acceleration and braking, and the included clutch pedal adds another layer of realism for those who enjoy manual shifting. Setup was straightforward, and it integrated seamlessly with my preferred gaming platform. If you're serious about racing games and want to elevate your experience to a whole new level of realism and fun, the G29 is an absolute must-have. It delivers exceptional performance, durability, and a truly immersive driving simulation. Highly, highly recommend!
