This adapter fitting is Exactly what I needed to attach a float for my chicken water bucket.

Perfect fit

These are decent enough for my low pressure application, solar water heater connection for pool. The male fitting does not seem to have much taper to it and it bottomed out in the fitting even with thread tape. I am overall pleased with them for my need.

If you have a water spout attached backflow preventer that is spraying water all over the place, this is the adapter you need to replace it. (That is because the threads on the spout will not attach to a hose.) These worked great and eliminated any leaks. [Legal disclaimer - check your local codes before removing your backflow preventer.]

As my title mentions, one worked just fine, the other leaked so badly it is unusable. It’s nice that the pieces arrive with Teflon tape. I must have a bunch of those plastic reels but find them? The product is packaged well and seems to hold up, at least one of them that is. I use it on a pump for my rainwater system to adapt the smaller pump male threads to standard garden hose fittings.

Just what we wanted and expected. Worked as expected.

Horrible quality. The part is 2 pieces that spin freely from each other. They connected by a flared out ridge on one side that just slight larger than the opening of the other part. With just the weight of the garden hose it pulled apart. .
