I bought this in January 2022 and installed it on our front door. Easy to install, works well, and the features are useful. I've had no issues with the fingerprint feature, the codes work and you can assign different codes to different profiles, keeping track of who comes in and out that way, which is nice if you're out of the house and need to let in family and friends. Auto-lock feature works. I didn't get the wi-fi bridge with mine but the bluetooth has been working reliably. I have not connected mine to Alexa or whatnot (since I don't use those in the first place). I added my toddler's thumbprint to the lock and he has no trouble using it (as long as his thumb is clean, which isn't always guaranteed). I think your finger/thumb needs to be clean, the scanner needs to be clean, and you need smooth fingers/thumbs. My index finger is calloused and the scanner doesn't pick it up well, but my thumb has no problems. Other people complain about the batteries, but I haven't had issues there. I've kept track and so far, I've replaced the batteries twice (first set lasted 5 months, second set lasted 6 months). This is with heavy, constant use. Worst case scenario, you can use the key and if you don't have the key and the batteries have died, there is a USB connection for a powerpack which will power the unit enough to open the lock. My unit lasted fine for about 14 months and then the power unit died. I reached out to customer service and they immediately sent me a replacement unit, and it works just fine now.

Update 6/21/21 Just purchased a 3rd Ubolt Pro but this time with a WIFI bridge. The dead bolt on this new one is phyisicaly different from my other two which suggests this company is continuing to improve on there product.. Connection through internet is not the fastest but so far reliable. Fortunately for me since purchasing this 3rd Ubolt I found that my 2nd Ubolt that had the constant blinking when unlocked was actually a malfunction. Blinking while unlocked should only happen when auto lock is enabled. (Doesn't state this in in manual). I suppose this explaines why that Ubolt's battery wasn't lasting long. That lock was fixed by a manual firmware update that was provided to me after I inquired about the lock's blinking behavior. I no longer use these in Stand Alone mode. They are much easier to manage using the app. My 2 older locks are going strong and I am hoping this new one will do the job just as well. Ultraloq customer service is quick to respond even though it is through email. They have not had any trouble resolving any of my issues. Great product and company! Update: 1/6/21 I wanted to wait a bit before updating to make sure the replacement part held up... So a little over 1 month after installing the flat buttoned version it failed. The fingerprint reader died but the physical buttons and of the key still worked. I sent a warranty repair request via email to the company and recieved a replacement part within a few days to a week. Response time was quick and painless. So far so good with the replacement fingerprint reader. Ill keep updating if anything else goes wrong. ------------------------- Original review: Its such a good lock I bought a second one. To my suprise the second one is physically different. There obviously has been a hardware update. But there is no mentioned of it on the manufacturer's website or the Amazon website. I included pictures of both locks. I'm assuming the lock with the indented inside handle and clear plastic number buttons is the older version and the one with the flat inside lock handle and black rubber numbers is the new version. Both locks are packaged with the same clear button version pictured on the box. Aside from the physical differences they also have firmware version differences. The clear button lock has a version number of V1.51 and the black rubber button is V1.55, both show to have the latest firmware when using the phone app. They work the same on the app and in standalone mode. The only functional difference I have noticed is that the black rubber buttoned lock flashes a red light every 3 to 5 seconds when in the unlocked position. The clear buttoned one does not flash its light when left unlocked. What interested me most was the finger print reader which works incredibly well and fast. I primary have these locks on standalone mode and have no interest in remotely unlocking from my phone, but I did play with the Bluetooth phone app and it does work fast and easily works within 30 feet very reliably. I really wish I knew there were two different versions because I do like how the other one flashes while unlocked. It is hard to see the lock position at night with dim light due to the whole thing being black but the red light makes it very clear it is open. I am hoping both versions of this lock are equally durable and last for many years, only time will tell. Over all at the moment I feel this is a good buy no matter which one you end up with.

I took the time to test a few different smart locks before I moved into my new home back in 2020. Ultrloq was the best I tested. (there were 3 others) I installed three Ultraloqs back in 2020. After almost 4 years of daily use they all work great without any failure (*see note) I am actually very surprised these have worked so well because they strive to do so many things: bluetooth, WiFi, fingerprint etc. And all the methods of locking/unlocking work great all the time and under daily use. They never fail. The only negative thing I can say is that one lock that faces very strong mid-day and afternoon sun has started to fade, The buttons. They all still work great, and I can ready them, it just doesn't look nice and new. Tips: - Locks and deadbolts are tricky to install / retro-fit REGARDLESS of the type or brand. It is normal and expected that some adjustment will be needed to get the lock to line up right, then operate freely without rubbing, strain or issues. Don't blame the lock, it's usual. One of my locks did not fit exactly right with one door. It took some chiseling, grinding, and coercing to make the bolt of the lock travel easily without any rubbing. And this was on a brand new door I had installed. - Make sure your batteries are charged sufficiently. If batteries are low it may seem like the lock isn;'t working. Swap the battery, no problem. - * note: Familiarize yourself with the different versions of this lock. Make sure to get the latest and don't cheap out on an older model. Some of the older versions that have more shiny, rounded, keys on the keypad do not accept fingerprints as reliably as the latest rubberized, flat, matte keys. Get the latest & greatest because the finger print function works perfect. (but the older versions numeric combination function works great as a backup) - Follow the very good video installation directions step by step. I am an experienced homeowner & handyman. I often needed to reference the videos to get the install right. Even after the 2nd lock install. This is a great product that I'd definitely put into any home I own. Good luck and enjoy!

Update: the company shipped me a new lock! Looking forward to seeing how it performs. Original review: Great when it works but sometimes I have to input the code several times. It makes an unlocking sound but doesn't unlock. And a few times I have had trouble locking it as I leave.... not good because if I'm in a rush I ended up leaving my door unlocked.

After wrestling with the Schlage version for the bolt lock, I realized after one year of use that it leaves door unlocked. It seems you can readily install the lock backwards leaving it totally unlocked. I thought that any lock that can be installed backwards is not worth the purchase. I scoured many reviews and recommendations and selected the U-Loq. You can unlock this 4 different ways including remotely. It is solidly built compared to other brands, easy to set up for whole family, and based on 2 weeks of use, completely reliable. I’ve had 2 Schlage’s and by comparison they are junk! Buy U-Loq and avoid Schlage. You will not regret it.Additional Comments after using for a few weeks. I still think this is the best option for any biometric door nlock. It is a tad fussy in setting it up for all 4 means by which you can gai entry. First- disable the autolock feature to avoid locking yourself out of house. Next-buy the bridge device that connects your Wi-Fi to the door lock. That gives you the control over your lock from anywhere. Next-pay attention to how you create your fingerprint identity. I entered Ed more than one fingerprint for each normal user—it helped. Still, sometimes you have to place your finger against detector more than once—a small price to pay for the othger features that work without fail. Next: Gettiong all other normal users registered so they can use the iPhones to lock and unlock the door was not as easy to do. I thought we’d never get my wife correctly registered, but after 2 or 3 days, we succeeded. We like the fact that we can assign really long digital codes for gaining entry by that means—pretty much unassailable by thieves. We were amazed that so many biometric locks can be easily “broken” by simply drilling a small entry point on bottom of outdoor part and a paper clip or similar sized item run up into the drilled hole to instantly unlock those other biometric locks. No one mentions this in online descriptions of those other biometric locks—something to think about. All in all, I would heartily recommend this lock over any other. Between “key bumping” and “hole drilling”, many locks are not locks at all if a person really wants to gain in entry.

They quickly resolved my issue, and it was honestly one of the best support experiences I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend this smart lock. Not only is the product reliable and feature-packed, but the tech support is outstanding. I was not paid to write this review, nor did I receive a free product—just sharing my genuine experience.

The Ultraloq materials seem to be high quality with a sturdy design. This replaced an existing keyed deadbolt and it fit perfectly into the existing hole with no addition drilling required. It took less than 15 minutes to install using just a Phillips screwdriver. I downloaded the free U Home app and used it to program the main code and two fingerprints for myself. I like the multiple ways to unlock the Ultraloq: 1) fingerprint, 2) code, 3) app, 4) shaking my iPhone, and 5) Auto Unlock when I approach the door. The lock can also be set to auto lock when I leave or after I enter thru the door. Time will tell how long the 4 AA batteries last or the fingerprint reader will resist wear and weathering, but my initial evaluation is this product is a superb value with a lot of features at an affordable price point.

Easy to install, app is easy to use. Sleek and minimalistic. Fits onto to wooden door and metal screen door. Ordered the Bluetooth version and seems good. Been using for a week and there are some flaws. Don't know about longevity yet. Pros: Bluetooth works fine. Convenient because you can use phone to lock/unlock but must be in close proximity. I like the Magic shake. Where you can just shake your phone when near and it will unlock. Do beware because it does drain your Battery Phone if you opt for that option. Keypad and keyhole works fine. I like that the key hole is hidden behind the keypad. Cons: Finger print is convenient but faulty. It doesn't read finger very well. If you have dry or rough fingers, it won't read well. Fingers must be warm,soft and fleshy but not overly moist or dry. I recommend using non dominant Fingers such as pinky, middle or ring. Geofencing doesn't work. Set my perimeter to open when I come back home through the app but it will not unlock my door. I would have to use magic shake to work. It notify me when I am away from home and let's me know when that when I get home and close to the door it will unlock but it doesn't. Which is a bummer. App is easy to unlock/lock but loading it takes a few seconds. It's not quick to open. So if you're on the road and know you're close to home, I suggest opening the app before reaching home. But you can always just use magic shake without opening the app. Automatic lock is nice and adds peace of mine but may be questionable. Sometimes it will double Automatic lock after a few minutes of the first attempt. So makes me wonder if it will unlock on its own. But it could possibly mean that it's just making sure that it is lock. So not too sure what to think of if. Haven't had any unlock issues so far except for when I unlock it myself I think the material used is plastic and some parts metal. I don't how durable it will hold up and whether it is a good bolt lock but it just seems like any regular bolt you would buy to lock your door. Overall, the concept of it is nice. Finger print, keypad, keyhole, Bluetooth, convenient App. You get the whole package. The wifi would probably be the icing on the cake but I'm worry about hackers and unstable internet so did not get that. I think if Ultraloq fixed the problems I mentioned than it would the best bolt lock on the market. The price is questionable but there are more pricier smart lock out there.

I bought this lock, it seemed to work fine for a few months. When it unfortunately stopped working during the warranty period I was told that despite them delivering the original to me in UAE, the warranty only applies if I have an address in the USA. I had no choice but to pay extra money to get them to send me a replacement. I’ve been waiting since July and I still don’t have the lock or any confirmation it has even been sent. So if you are buying this lock for the warranty or customer service then you will be sorely disappointed.

This is a premium product for a not-so-premium price. After doing a lot of research I chose to go with the Ultraloq U-Bolt - the instructions were so easy to follow. It's important to note that I had to do very little modification on my door to get this thing up and running. It is a standard deadbolt lock so you simply have to replace your old mechanical bolt with this bolt. I think it took me 30 minutes. The app was so easy to use and super user-friendly. After installation you're fully functional with fingerprint unlock, code unlocks and Bluetooth unlock. I think the BlueTooth unlock is pretty incredible. I go out for my dog walk every day, several times a day. All I have to do is close the door and it auto-locks behind me, then when I come home, it geo-locates me and automatically opens the door when I get home. I think this sophisticated system can be twice as expensive for the convenience and quality of the product. I highly recommend this product. I'm thinking of Bridge because it's so convenient - but I'm not sure if I need it. Are you still reading this? Buy it already!

After doing a fair bit of research, i decided to go with ULTRALOQ for my smart lock. Installation was easy, but i faced some issues with my lock after installing. I emailed support and they were very helpful. They offered to send me a new unit, which helped to solve my problem! Highly recommended and it is value for money.

Tengo ya dos años con la cerradura, me ha funcionado muy bien, el modo de autoabrir me funciona muy bien y es muy cómodo (hasta el momento es el único producto que he encontrado con esta característica), solo hay que asegurarse de permitir la aplicación para que se ejecute en el fondo en el teléfono, una vez hecho, funciona sin problemas. La opción de usar la huella para abrir permite configurar el modo de auto-cerrar activado, así siempre que salimos estamos seguros que se ha cerrado, y es muy fácil volver a abrir si no traemos el teléfono. El registro de entradas y salidas me permite saber a que horas regresan mis hijos cuando salen... El único problema lo tuve hace unos días, donde el motor dejo de funcionar, contacte al soporte técnico, y pese a que el producto estaba fuera de garantía, me ofrecieron cambiarlo, lo cual es extraordinario, afortunadamente el sistema volvió a funcionar bien después de dejarlo un dia sin bateria, asi que no fue necesario hacer el cambio, pero me dejaron muy tranquilo en caso de que surja otro problema. A few days ago I had a problem, the lock motor stop working, the technical support was really quick and responsive, and even if the product was out of the guarantee period they offered to replace it, that is extraordinary. Fortunately, the system was working again after I let it 24 hours without battery, so the exchange was not needed, but my experience with the technical support returned me back the confidence on the product for any future failure. So far, I love it, very handy, now I can enter when I return home without any effort, I do not need to worry if I have my hands loaded, there is no need to use a key or dial a code, the door unlocks itself!
