Loose Leaf Earl Grey Premium Gourmet Black French Tea Bergamot Citrus Flavors 3.52 Ounce Tin

A friend told me I had to try this, since I love Earl Grey tea. I didn't believe her about it being "the best" as she claimed, but I tried it anyway. Covid. I'm bored. I'm experimenting a lot in the kitchen since we almost never leave our house. And my goodness, it IS good. Is it the best? I don't know- I've had a lot of Earl grey all over the world, but this is very, very good- well worth the money. I love the fragrance! And the taste is lovely too. Will definitely buy it again.

The bergamot aroma is perfectly balanced with the black tea flavor—not too strong. Just the right amount for enjoying your tea!

Outstanding superior tea. I have drank this and various other flavors for years. I only drink this brand. It’s better than anything you can get here in U.S. It’s my families favorite. They also have wonderful green teas!

Smells great, tastes better. The top can be exceedingly difficult to open, so I'm always afraid that I'll end up spilling.

Absolutely no flavor, zero bergamot flavor. I wouldn’t write this negative review if it would have even a little bit of bergamot flavor, it’s just a normal black tea flavor. I really wanted to return. It’s just a fancy package. I’m willing to pay a top dollar for a great quality tea product but it’s hard to find one. I will just keep looking. To the seller- don’t mislead customers!

Earl Gray tea is not usually my first choice but I'm really glad I took the chance to purchase this tea. The bergamot flavor is of a better quality then what I am used to and balanced very well with the tea itself. The can the leaves came in was in perfect condition and it was sealed well. I've heard people complain about the freshness of food products they order from amazon but in this case, if there was any worry, there is a freshness date on the bottom of the can.

I drink this tea now and then just to use it up, but I won't be buying more. It's bland, with little flavor, and enormously expensive. (As an aside: the tin is attractive, but the lid is very hard to get off. It is "upside down" from the way lids are usually used, so you have to get your fingernails between the edge of the tin and the lid and then try to pry the lid off. I see a broken fingernail in your future.)

This is the first time purchasing tea leaves from Amazon. Our collection consists mainly of tea purchased on trips or gifts from visitors. This Dammann Freres Earl Grey Yin Zhen is a worthy addition. Initially, we tried a tea bag of this tea then purchased a tin of loose leaf. I have been tasting this tea for about 3 weeks and enjoyed it so much that I ordered a second tin as a holiday gift. The tin packaging and tea in loose leaf form appeared special. [Turns out to be a bad idea because both the first and second tins arrived with very noticeable dents. So not good as gifts!] The tea comprises mainly black tea (~97%) with some Yin Zhen white tips (~3%) and a sprinkling of lilac color flower petals (very pretty). The bergamot aroma is mild (or should I say delicate), but detectable. Less aromatic than most of our other Earl Grey teas. Not sure if we would use this in making Earl Grey ice cream (maybe we would combine two teas). Comment on the tin. Besides the dents on the tin edges (see photos), the tin looks great. It works functionally and in form. The air seal from the lid is quite good although I would wish for an inner lid because the metal outer lid may loosen up after repeated openings and closings. フレーバーティーは香料に頼って、ベースのお茶のグレードが低いものがほとんどで、一缶飲みきる事が余り無い(飽きてしまう)のでしばらく買っていませんでした。 ダマンフレール紅茶はどれも、価格の割に良いお茶を使っている印象なのでアールグレイも試してみました。 良質な紅茶に加え花びらが味に複雑さを出して、柔らかくまとめてあるのに飲み飽きません。一缶終わるのが淋しい感じで、なかなかのヒットでした。 他のレビューに中国産との指摘がありますが、紅茶はもちろん中国発祥で、栽培加工技術も極めて高度です。以前あれこれアールグレイを試して、唯一気に入ったフォートナム メイスンも中国茶でした。
