After reading some of the reviews I almost didn't buy this. But since it ended up being about the only one I could find, I gambled and bought it. And I'm very glad I did. What I write here will address what I read in some of the reviews. First, addressing some complaints that the lid was warped or didn't fit... in my case the lid came in perfect condition and it fit fine. Out of the box, I placed this on the blender, as is, and it worked perfectly! The bottom base is a little thinner than the original and at first I thought it was smaller and it didn't look like it would fit onto the blender. But it did, in fact, fit just fine and the blender worked perfectly using all the parts from this package. Since the base was thinner and seemed more plasticky than the original and since the original has lasted 30 years without a crack, I decided to see if I could put the original base on the bottom of this bottle - and it worked perfectly! So, I used my old base, with the new blades and the new rubber gasket. So, it was a little mix and match but it worked perfectly and I'm very happy with it. I'm keeping the new base, just in case I ever need it in the future. All the parts are completely interchangeable with the original parts. The original top will work on the new bottle and vice versa, the original bottom will work on the new bottle and vice versa. And the original blades will work with the new bottle -- and vice versa! So if you need just one part, you can still get this and it'll work with your original. You can mix and match every part as you like. Someone wrote in their review that the blades on this were different than the original. But in my case, they were exactly the same... and a little sharper too! Which is to be expected when comparing to 30-year-old blades. In the end, I used all the new parts from this, except the base. I used the base from the original glass and it works perfectly together! No leaking or anything. I have to say - it's so nice to have a new clean bottle. After 30 years our old bottle was very cloudy and just not pleasant to look at. I can't stand the new blenders with the plastic jars, so I'm so happy to have found this and even happier that it actually works with such an old blender! Really great!

My teenage son broke our original Oster blender pitcher making a protein shake so we needed a replacement. This one fits the base perfectly, feels quite sturdy, and performs well. The blades are higher than the original, which actually works better than the original. The only drawback is that it's heavy. My 10 year old daughter likes to make smoothies so it's a little heavy for her to pull out of the above counter cabinet but overall a quality replacement!

We accidentally broke the one which came with the blender, and broke our hearts in the process. No smoothies! The replacement jar is just fine, with one exception: the top for the replacement is black rubber; the original top is white rubber. The new top doesn't fit right, as the rubber is bent in ways which don't seem to be straightening out. Gonna have to put it under something very heavy to see whether we can flatten it out. BUT - the original white top fits the new jar perfectly, so not to worry.

Can't beat the price and great quality of this product. I was surprised how heavy it was .The glass is thick and won't be easy to crack. I'll never buy a cheap plastic jar again. Works well with my standard Oster blender . I only used it twice so far. I may provide an update in a few months

The blade came off loose within a month.

Perfect fit and replaced my original easily. Looked exactly the same. Easy to clean and lasted for many years.. blended like the original and the material was glass which I prefer.

Not only is this not "by Oster," as the listing says, it is not even really Oster-compatible. Here are the issues I've had with it: 1) The jar will not work with a standard Oster screw-on base; only the one it came with. 2) The jar's screw-in base does not fit on a standard Mason jar. Ordinary Oster bases do. This is annoying if you use this feature a lot, as I do, and have multiple bases. 3) Not all Oster blades fit in this product. Only the blade that comes with the jar. Use the wrong blade, and it will do one of three things. It will leak. It will not connect with the base, making a horrible noise instead of blending. It will screw the metal disk into the plastic, making it impossible to get out without cutting yourself. The bottom line is, I expect Oster-compatible products to be compatible with other Oster parts, not just with the blender base. This is not. Even if this was the only jar you ever used, and the compatibility problems weren't a dealbreaker, the lid is awful (hard to get on, seals badly, hard to get off), and the parts don't fit together smoothly. Terrible, terrible product.

Originally the wrong item was shipped, when contacted, the seller apologized and informed me a replacement would be sent right away. Within 2 weeks the replacement shipment arrived and was as advertised. the replacement blade was a little less sharp than the original but still adequate for most uses. I still had the original blades and seal which fit perfectly. I am very pleased with the product and the service.

Finally found a replacement after recently letting my original blender jug fall to the kitchen floor and smash. So happy.

De muy buena calidad, resiste altas temperaturas y bajas

J'ai acheté un verre de rechange pour le blender Oster , au bout de 3 jours d'utilisation le verre s'est fendu de haut en bas mon ancien verre avait 40 ans, je regrette de l'avoir jeté pour le remplacer par un nouveau qui n'a pas du tout la même qualité.

Für unseren ca. 40 Jahre alten Osterizer (Erbstück) haben wir ein neues Messer benötigt. Da der Blender noch einwandfrei funktioniert und der Motor schon damals sehr kraftvoll war, wollten wir das Gerät nicht tauschen. Unglaublich, aber ich wurde noch beim WebstoreEurope fündig. Da sich der Deckel des Glases über die Jahre auch schon verzogen hatte, habe ich das gesamte Glas bestellt. Es ist super, dass bei Osterizer die Maße sind noch immer gleich sind und Ersatzteile produziert werden. Einmal die Teile im Spüler (das Messer nicht) durchwaschen, damit sie den Plastikgeruch verlieren und wir können weiter unseren geliebten Blender verwenden.
