Why is this $5.99 at whole foods and $11.59 on amazon? i just bought this coconut water yesterday. maybe i'm just missing something.

how do you essence fruit?

Well this is a wonderful question, the essence of anything is merely a word to input without ruining the validity of a product. This insinuates there are no artificial flavors or dyes yet has a distinct taste of some type of fruit, usually nothing like the actual fruit. Kind of like having a lemonade and then recycling the bottle but leaving a bit of the remaining lemonade in the bottle. Also if your unaware my dear, la croix was first invented by a lovely prison inmate out of a toilet. So there's a lot of marketing and help that has gone into selling this product for those whom love sparkling drinks My personal favorite is the coconut or passionfruit, I have had prior instances with individuals whom love the pamplemousse. There are a ton of "flavors" just gotta try them out. If you'r looking for a brand that incorporates real fruits in the drink i would recommend looking for a pellegrino.
