Alex Pretend Picnic Basket Kids Set, 18 Piece

I bought this for my (at the time) 3 year old daughter because she kept wanting to play with my very old "real" picnic basket. This set is so cute and just perfect for little ones. She goes into the backyard and puts out a "spread" for her stuffed animals and has picnics and it's just the cutest thing ever. It's also quite durable...I bought this a couple years ago (I think) and she's been playing with it all this time and nothing has broken on it. It's held up under some pretty rough circumstances (read: preschoolers!).

My friend asked me to get this for his daughter who was turning 3 years old. This was her favorite gift. She started playing with it as soon as she unwrapped the gift and took her dad for pretend-picnics around the living room the rest of the afternoon. I have to say that I was surprised by the quality of the materials. The cups and plates are metalic, not plastic, nice detail! The price is more than fair.

I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old grandson and it was a big hit! There's a place for everything, for those children who love to put things away, but there's also enough room, and the metal dishes are sturdy enough, that everything can simply be dumped into the basket when picking up. In addition to the metal dishes, there's sturdy plastic cutlery. This is a wonderful play set for boys or girls.

My 2 yr old niece loves this. She packs up the basket with toys. She lays out the little picnic blanket then sits down and "drinks" from the cups. The dishes are sturdy and durable. The wicker basket could not be cuter lined with pink plaid. It's real wicker so it probably won't last as long as the dishes but it's already been a month and it's still in one piece!

This is my THIRD purchase of this set, because it is just the perfect birthday gift for a child in the 2-4 year old range. Every child we give it to, loves it. We also love the price! The dishes are well made, and the blue is very pretty. We're happy to see a little blue, instead of the full-on, total pink that is usually on offer. Very nice set.

This is a really cute, nice quality set. Wicker basket is nice detail. Metal pieces are durable. Good blue color. Napkins are single ply but add nice detail to the set. My 7 year old loves it.

I bought this toy for my daughter and when I received it one of the plates and one of the cups were completely covered with rust!!! (Have pictures of it). It's going to the trash!!!!! A real pitty as the toy looked really nice. Will only be able to save the basket and silverware. All the plates and cups are going to the garbage.

Bought my daughter a small tea set some years ago at Ikea. The set is made out of porcelaine and the pieces are very tiny. The cup handles are so small, that I cannot fit my pinkie inside. I did not want my two year old daughter playing with the porcelaine set so I searched for something better. Getting the idea from her neighbors friend, I googled this particular set and bought it. Love it. Perfect for my 4 year old daughter.She loves it too.

It is the cutest little tea set/picnic basket. It is a Christmas gift therefore won't know how loved it will be. She is a little young yet therefore the fact that the dishes are unbreakable is great.

Very cute..... However one cup came damaged..
