For Visual Learners
I just received this yesterday and it is excellent. In flipping through it so far appears biblically sound. That is a huge plus for me. The aesthetic of the pictures, detail, color, placement of information-all excellent. I am adding this resource to my library as well as using it alongside my regular Bible study. Highly recommend.

Very Nicely Done
A little superficial perhaps, my biggest grievance though is that although The structure of everything is lists of this & whatever, there arenโt any accompanying chronological references as to when things piled up upon one another, or which came first or last ? A small side note would be; why does The Torah &/or Bible end ? It seems to me that they should both ( along with many others ) continuously document The spiritual & secularist history of The World, & perhaps be a little more storish ! ? ? ? A casual preview of this encyclopedia would easily be equivalent to reading 84% of The Torah ( ? )

To be honest, I was slightly disappointed with this book. It contains quite a lot of useful material, but is quite selective in its topics. I was hoping for more about the Tabernacle than the Ark of the Covenant and there is nothing ab out the sacrificial and priestly systems which underlie the Book of Hebrews. I do have a specialised interest - I want to use it to illustrate and sum up briefly some themes in Bible classes for adults. This book is probably best for new Christians and young people. It would be very useful for both those groups. When I was a young Christian, I remember books of black and white charts and drawings that gave quite a high level of understanding of the Bible but these don't seem to exist any more. At least, I can't find them.

Overall this book's content is great, however when I received this brand NEW book which I had purchased; I was shocked to discover there are so many glue stains on the pages which resulting in the pages to be glued together on its edge. I didn't expect a brand NEW book which I paid for on such a quality.

I would say that this most suits beginner-intermediate Bible readers. The linear fashion of when the prophets lived and what each did is very helpful, even when you have read the books often though. Very good quality pictures and font. Fell a little short of what I expected... but then again I am not sure what I expected lol

I love infographics. For me it's a quick way to absorb a lot of information. This book excelled in that area, but I found that one of the co-authors wanted insert his own spin on what God's Word in little snippets of his own interpretation of the Bible. An example of this, is the use of the words "not exploit it" on page 11 instead of "rule over it" which is the command given in every version of the Bible I own. Another question I have is, why was the infographic about the Tower of Babel put before the flood? I told myself that I would continue reading this book and not read the commentary, but I found myself drawn to the commentary and being disgusted so much that I put the book down for good about a quarter way through it. I think the PhD guy should write his own Bible commentary book and let the ladies do the infographics books.
