Review: Um - How this book got so many good reviews is beyond me. I decided to read this book after reading the Deluxe version (it was so funny) and it just disappointed me how this can be so bad when the others were so good. Early in the book, Jamie (the twelve year old narrator)'s grandma dies. While she does't write in her diary for days because she is "sad" clearly she isn't because she tries to make a joke out of the whole thing. For example, at the funeral, Jamie is crying in the bathroom, and she says, and I quote, "I was crying, and then I checked myself in the mirror to see if I was crying prettily because its important, and then I went back to normal crying because I didn't want mom to get mad." How insensitive! But everything else was fine. Still.

Great books!
Started buying the books in this series a couple of years ago for my 8 year old granddaughter and she just turned 10 and she still loves reading them. Great books.

How this book got so many good reviews is beyond me. Great book
This is a great book to read I love the dear dumb diary sires because they relate so much to me and it makes me laugh :) I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting a good laugh :)

AMAZE BALLZ
This book was so funny and made me relive how crazy us middle schoolers are. 😋😋I absolutely love this book and Jim Benton is a GENIUS and I really don't know how he gets how a middle school girl thinks but I don't care , I LOVE IT -Mia 11yrs old P.S don't forget to read Dear Dumb Diary DELUXE P.P.S READ THIS BOOK BEFORE THE DELUXE VERSION OR THE DELUXE WILL SPOIL SIME STUFF P.P.P.S did I mention how great this book is

Love Jamie Kelly!
I love this series and this book. As a seventh grade girl, I can connect to Jamie and I feel like it's my own life. I don't know how the author can so amazingly portray her, but it's great!

It is a good book but there is 5 blank pages when grandma dies.

My daughters love this series
My daughters love this series!! My daughter started reading this when she was 7 years old. She is 9 now and her sister who is 8 loves reading these books. Well worth the investment!
