It does not have a removable cover, and I have not yet tried to wash it, so we'll see if it holds up. But since I got the dark brown one, I'm not expecting to have to wash it too often! ;) The outer dimensions listed are fairly accurate, the inner dimensions (where the dog lies down) are about 19" x 14".
