UAS Pilot Log Expanded Edition: Unmanned Aircraft Systems Logbook for Drone Pilots & Operators

I had been looking for a good logbook for logging my drone flight hours that also contains enough space and places to log various information from my flights. This logbook has space for over 100 entries and I transferred my own records I had been keeping into the book I purchased. I will say I have recently switched to an online logbook by creating my own logbook spreadsheet in Google Sheets that can be accessed and updated pretty much anyplace by phone or tablet or computer. While this is one of the best drone-centric pilot logs I've seen so far, in creating my own in Google Sheets I could tailor the information to what I want to log. Most logbooks for logging aviation time/hours (I'm also a private pilot) or now drone flight time/hours/maintenance are pretty generic and not all spaces or subject headings are often needed, but this book, again. is better than most I've seen.

This is a really unique and reasonably priced log book just for drone pilots. It is clear that the author really rethought the whole drone pilot vs. airplane pilot conundrum. One of the main things I notice is that each day gets a whole page to itself. This is great because I fly multiple flights in a day and at less than 30 minutes a pop, logging can be tedious. The traditional manned flight logbooks are basically just spreadsheets. Sometimes I think this is because if something really crazy happens during a manned flight, it's really bad. Whereas, with a drone, accidents happen all the time and you want to make notes and learn from them. This book gives you the space to make those notes and learn more from your flights and develop as a UAV pilot.

Would be the perfect logbook if it was a spiral bound layout. Would be nice if you were able to open the book up and lay flat. Also would be nice if the covers could be printed in different colors so you could store them by year. Easy to organize.

After going through the entire FAA procedure, I found quickly the need for quick and easy documentation of all preflight/flight procedures and maintenance issues. This book is a simple means of doing just that. It perfectly accomplishes it's mission. You will still need the occasional outside documentation for your records, but this book will cover the actually flight documentation easily. Obviously constructed by someone who knows what's needed and what is not.

The UAS Log Expanded Edition is a great addition to any drone pilot. The pre filled logs make it simple to keep up with everything pertaining to your flights. This is a must for anyone who already has their Part 107 and for anyone who is planning on taking the test. As you will find out record keeping is essential to all pilots.

This is a great book for those of us who like to go analog with our pilot logs. This is also a great way to keep track of all flights for when you go to sell your drone. Being able to show potential buyers that you take flying seriously goes a long way.

This item has a checklist that will keep you focused on how to fly safe and keep your drone in flying condition. It also will keep a record of flights and increase experience along the way. Document back episode as it happens.

The book itself is fine, but it was shipped floating in a big padded envelope and arrived very damaged. The book moved all around in the envelope and the corners are all smashed and bent back, the envelope was also folded at some point and the front and back covers and all pages are creased in a few locations. I use these record books with clients and this one looks very unprofessional. Will buy another kind.

A simple to use and understand book on managing operations on drone flight. It forces you to think about what you're doing, pre-flight checks, operational issues, notes on locations or concerns and a space to add a flight map. It encourages the user to think about what is happening during the flight and to record it for future reference and development. A good starting point for the novice pilot.

This log is not simply a blank note book, it asks for all the important information to help later track what you have done whilst out flying. It helps you to look and be more competent a pilot with full accountability. When I fill this book I have no hesitation in coming back to order a new one.

Good product would recommend.

This is not a book is just a pilots log is rather a luxury than a necessity. However is very useful if you are a drone pilot, or an instructor or you have a flying school and you want to keep track of what is going on with the students. My advice keep this in a safe place as reference photocopy it since each page contains the same content over and over again, add you own time managing staff to expand the log itself.
