I tend to prefer black collars (which is not an option for this product) and purchased the "Squirrel Grey". As shown, the collar is pretty much a slate/dark grey.Overall, I have no problems giving this collar 5 stars. It is very well built and uses heavy duty nylon webbing, quality stitching, and sturdy (though lightweight) aluminum hardware. Also included is a hanger for tags. This collar is built to last and is probably one of the best built collars I've come across. Do pay attention to the sizing, though. My dog has an 18" neck and this collar (Medium) is almost completely extended for her. If your dog is close to the 15" or 20" size, you may want to purchase the next higher size.My only real complaint is related to the Whistle mount itself. Although my tracker stays locked in place, it is not as tight/secure a fit as one might expect and does jiggle back and forth a bit. In fairness, it did that on the plastic mount that they come with, as well. I was disappointed to find it felt heavy especially since my young little pit bull was having some skin issues around her neck. I thru it in the drawer, forgot about it and continued to use Whistles' collar attachment with the velcro. I never liked that system because the whistle unit is bulky and sticks out so far but a young independent little girl can move fast and be hard to find on 10 acres even tho it's fenced.The other day I saw an ad for this collar and thought I'd try one, forgetting the one in the drawer. Before ordering I checked "her" drawer for something else and there was the collar I had. I slipped her whistle in it and loved it!. The unit does not stick out so far and seems pretty solid to me. It's also not near as heavy as I remember it being. I liked it so much I ordered this green one because I saw it at like half price here on Amazon. She's comfortable and I'm happy!NOTE: If you have a smaller or lighter built dog you may find it a little heavy as I did when she was young. The smallest size of the collar was still way too big for her and I can't imagine it would fit on any cat other than maybe a Maine Coon cat lol I will say that it was very durable and a good looking collar and would have been well worth the money due to how easily it made the whistle attached but in the end I had to just slide the whistle onto a cat collar that fit her. Definitely recommend but only if it is a dog or a very large cat.
