Worked great for out of reach lightbulb
When the bulb over our staircase went out we wondered how to replace it. Since it’s above stairs, about 15’ up, a ladder wasn’t a safe option. I already had an extension pole so I didn’t need a changer that included a pole. This kit includes options for multiple bulb sizes and for removing the base of broken bulbs. I only used the one for a standard incandescent bulbs and it worked great. Was able to remove the old bulb and screw in a new one while standing on solid ground. Much less expensive than a possible trip to the hospital.

Works really well, but you have to drill a hole.
The rubber plug thing saved the day when one of my light bulbs broke out of the metal base, leaving the metal base in the socket. Worked really well at getting it out ........ however........ the thumbscrews that are supposed to clamp the broken bulb extractor plastic threaded base to a pole don't work at all. It won't prevent the bulb extractor from coming off the pole. Thumb screws are completely ineffective ...... however ...... if you drill a 5/32 hole through the plastic threaded bulb extractor base and the end of the pole and put in a long #6 screw through the plastic and pole - it prevents the bulb extractor from unscrewing. Voila! I would have given it 5 stars but I had to drill a hole

This one works!
I had a Bayco bulb replacement tool that performed marginally. The set screws that keep the baskets from rotating cause the plastic to break almost immediately when you tighten them to the pole. When this happens the end of the pole rotates inside the receptacle on the basket and the bulb stays in place. I usually end up putting the tool away, getting my ladder and doing the job that way. My most recent burn out happened on trash day so I finally decided to throw the old tool away and run to the hardware store and grab a new one but all they had was the same piece of junk I just threw away. I did a little online research and found a video review of the Ettore kit. The thing that stood out was that there was a hole in the end of their pole that the set screw went into that keeps the basket from rotating without cracking the plastic. I would imagine they were getting the same complaints as the other manufacturers but they decided to do something about it. I had to buy the Ettore pole separately since it wasn't available as a kit. Anyway, I know this is a long review but I figure if I explain why this tool is better people can make an intelligent decision. My ladder can stay outside.😁

Nice Light Bulb Changing Kit
Bought this set to replace a light bulb located 14’ high after the bulb spun out of the base. My old change set didn’t come with the rubber base removal fittings so I bought this for only slightly more than a basic 3 piece set. Removal fitting worked perfectly retrieving the metal base piece and the large 8 finger claw held the new bulb securely to help finish the installation. The only potential problem I see is that the blue plastic seems very soft so the wing screws could strip out the holes if over tightened when attaching to the pole. Overall I recommend this set for quick and easy bulb chages in high locations.

You can make it work on the cheap and Good Luck
Hello All, I purchased the Ettore 48350 Bulb Changer Kit Without Pole,Plastic, Blue and tried it out. There seem to be several reviews with complaints of the Bulb Changer becoming loose when you unscrew the bulb in the ceiling. I noticed that could happen but I tightened the standard changer to the pole firm but not stripping the threads. I also tightened the metal screw with my finger and thumb Firm but not stripping the threads. Remember the device is made of Blue Plastic and the threads could strip. After that I used Gaffers tape around the connection to the pole very firmly right under the screw. You could take the screw out and wrap all the way up and poke a hole with a pick or something and put the screw back in firm but not stripping the threads. One person drilled a hole and through the pole and put a machine screen with nut. This would be the best I am sure. It all seems a pain but keep in mind the whole kit is 10 bucks. You can't expect Top of The Line for cheap I would think. Use some dielectric bulb grease when you put the new bulb in the socket. A Q-Tip works well to apply the grease to the bulb. The grease will help the threading of the bulb. I was successful in changing two standard bulbs in the ceiling. I did feel like the device was unscrewing from the pole until I tightened it up and put the Gaffers tape on. Then it seemed O.K. I am giving a 3 stars for this product. I would give 3.5 but can't select a 1/2 star. You can make it work on the cheap and Good Luck.

VERY handy easy to use set of screw in tools to change out ceiling or ceiling fan bulbs
Every screw on widget for the end of your telescoping pole you will need to change out your ceiling or ceiling fan bulbs you will need, even has the tip you need if your bulb breaks apart while you are trying to change it. You usually don't need something like this daily but will be happy when you need it.

Very Solid buy
Very solid buy/recommend Pros: The bulb changer is amazing and works great. My ceiling is at least 20 ft so a major challenge to change bulbs. I have a telescope pole so reaching was not an issue. The spring bulb catcher worked great and i finally replaced 25+ bulbs that were long due Cons: The suction cup bulb changer was a bust, hence one star less. Does not work and would not recommend using. Two bulbs fell trying to use that … so avoid Overall, thumbs up … highly recommend

It maybe works
Its okay. I have not even used it yet. Many parts for a good price. But does it work. I have not yet tried it.

Why did you choose this product over others?: I was struggling to remove my spotlight with the ordinary spotlight remover, where it wasn’t creating a full suction on the light. This product straight away created a suction. I was able to remove the spotlight. Would recommend

I was skeptical when this arrived. I thought it might break the bulbs when trying to remove it but it worked perfectly. Used the small one to remove a small CFL and used the large to install a super bright large LED bulb in the garage using a standard broom handle we already had. Flawless and thankfully didn’t need to test out the broken bulb pulling tools today. This is a 10/10 for easy to use and good quality.
