The only prong collar you need: Herm Sprenger
If it’s not Herm Sprenger, then it’s not a true prong collar. I have a German shepherd husky, and it fits her beautifully. I’ve put this collar on my arm, and yanked it with an unnecessary amount of strength, no where near what should be used for a dog lol. No, it did not hurt. It’s even pressure, all the way around. It will cause quick discomfort, NOT pain. Great TOOL for correcting unwanted behavior. RESEARCH how to size, fit, and properly use on your dog before buying. The chain is smooth when giving corrections. It doesn’t feel jerky or like it slips. The color is very nice. Add or take away links for a proper fit, which is easy to do. IF your dog is in between sizes (meaning one link is too big, and removing one link is too small) look up the zip tie hack for prong collars. Excellent craftsmanship and results.

Great quality
Works great on my dobberman. Helps them to stop pulling when on walks. Easy to put on and take off. Doesn't seem to bother my dog when she doesn't pull.

Strong/Durable Prong Collar
Love this prong collar. I’ve tried cheaper ones but did not work with my 90 pound dog. Worth the extra amount of money for one that worked. I bought a second one for my parents smaller dog. Love that you can adjust the size as needed.

Well made training tool!
Excellent and reliable quality. I would recommend using an additional martingale collar with it, as insurance. I also replaced the front plate with a metal clip plate made to work with Herm Sprenger, for easier use and on/off. Was not long enough for my adult golden retriever, 65lbs, so I had to buy extra links. Very effective in correcting some behaviors. Started by just getting the dog used to wearing it, but with the leash connected to the other collar only. He learned that the sound of his prong collar means a fun outing, walk, or training.

Glad I took wise advice and bought the best
A year ago I adopted a 50 pound labrador pointer mix from a nearby shelter in North Carolina. I’m in my mid-70s and intended on adopting a smaller dog, but when I saw Dominoe I could not resist. It has been very much problematic, probably due to my lack of strength even though I work out a lot And his lunging and pulling so hard that even a younger, stronger person would have difficulty holding him without getting pulled over or letting go; finally, I started consulting w/a trainer. I was convinced to buy a Herm Sprenger 2.25 mm prong collar and make sure that it fit snug. I would venture a guess that 80% of people do not fit a prong collar properly perhaps afraid to hurt the dog. But this prong collar has been a lifesaver for my dog and myself so to speak; it’s so easy to train him you don’t have to yank or pull if you have it fitted snug and at the right level on the back of his neck and around the throat. Sprenger collars, have a safety guard for the neck others do not the right location is with the front safety guard pover the trachea and throat AND with a Martingale feature with a D ring (not an O ring) to attach the leash (google it) You will find instant immediate improvement provided you are willing to devote time learning how to use it and how to train properly. If you don’t put in the time to do that and/ or work with a trainer and videos that -correctly- show how to fit a prong collar then you will fail joiming the misguided majority who feel a prong collar should not be used. My dog is 100% better, and he already was wonderful, albeit young, active, very playful, athletic, strong, and very reactive w/a mind of his own, and a strong desire to play with and get near every dog he encountered. Not aggressive at all. Just wants to jump on, love and kiss every living thing. This makes taking walks and traveling very difficult withour this Herm Sprenger prong collar. I no longer have any trepidation about taking him on a walk, but our goal will be to get to a point where he does not even need to be on a leash because of the prong collar training, done properly, and under the auspice is of a brilliant online trainer such as “Miles Hamilton dog traing” Check it out… and do not buy any other prong collar except a Sprenger!!!! That is, if you value, care and love your best friend!

If you don't have one, get one.
Check out upstate training academy on YouTube for how to videos with these... and how they should FIT your dog. These should NOT be loose. That's how I found this brand actually. Check out the size guide before you buy....I ended up buying one that was too small before and had to order more links for it. I needed a second one and got this. I love so much about these. They are easy to use... yes they are harder than a quick hook, but they should be. They give you so much control. They make training a breeze and I'm new at training my dogs with these. If you correct with these properly all of your problems with your dog will vanish. I have a 90lb pit lab mix that pulled so bad we could never walk him. I wish I had educated myself sooner. This changed things COMPLETELY. My husband couldn't even walk him on a regular leash. Now, he gets excited and just whines. If he pulls to sniff I just give a quick small jerk on the leash and he stops in his tracks. He will still try to put occasionally but I just have to give the correction again and he starts watching for my direction again. He's a very high energy, excited, strong dog and this tamed him. He sees his lead is excited to go on a walk. We got a new dog from the shelter... she's a little mini pit. Half the size of her brother. She's more scared of things and skidding. Walking her was a nightmare. She would just sit and not move because she didn't like being forced to do anything because of her fear. It was more difficult to train her with this collar than her brother, but it worked. 2 quick corrections and she's no longer laying down... she's walking with us. She learned heel after 1 very long walk. That wouldn't have happened in 100 walks without this collar. The spinning loop on this doesn't make a difference to me. I have one with it and one without. If I was a trainer or very serious about training it might make a difference, but I walk at a state park on trails and give my dogs more freedom with the leash length so it doesn't really matter to have that swivel.

This is very good quality and used correctly it works effectively! No more pulling from my 6 month GSD that I've tried and tried to train to stop pulling. Now he's the absolute best walker on the streets!

O produto vai descascando com o uso e deixa uma marca preta no pescoço do cão, especialmente em cães de pelo claro.

I am not a fan of hurting any animal which is why I like this setup. It only pinches when they pull and has the ability for a quick release if there is trouble for whatever reason. We've been using it for our large dog that has now stopped the pulling. Hopefully when the puppy stage is over, we can ditch the pincher..
