Ball Pythons: A Complete Guide to Python Regius (Complete Herp Care)

I’ve read a few books now on ‘ball python’. This one is well written, comprehensive, and informative. It’s slightly dated, but if you back it up with research from your local exotic pet store and some quality You Tube channels. You will be well equipped to launch into ball python ownership. Favorite You Tube: Green Room and Snake Discovery. Advice: became an expert, set up your enclosure, and pre arrange a vet before you buy your snake. 🐍 love this book!

This is a great beginners book, with an amazing broad overview of Ball Pythons. I was a little disappointed with the lack of specific details. The book will make references to products but not brand names, which is a little frustrating when attempting to look for a product online. Overall A great book for beginners.

This was a pretty good book for a beginner. If you want a quick read with the basic facts, this is a good book for you. There were times however the author touched on a subject that needed a more in depth explanation that I wished I would have gotten. Sometimes also, something was mentioned, that a picture of it would have been beneficial. But all around this is a great book for a first time owner that needs a fairly quick read of all the basics.

Very informative, and written in a way my 10 year old, who's extremely interested in bp's, was able to read and learn.

Hundreds of pages of great info and great color photos. Buy it, you will be glad that you did.

This is a really good step-by-step guide to first time snake owners. After reading the other reviews for this, I do agree with them in that it could use some more elaboration on certain topics. But, it is really informative & useful. Don't pass it up!

Great books providing a great amount of information on the care ball pythons. When I first started keeping ball pythons I read this book from cover to cover choice. I recommended for anybody considering buying a ball python for the first time.

ボールパイソン、日本でもペットとしてポピュラーなヘビだが、飼育本が限られていて、ブリーダーが多いという米国の本を探したところ、今度は多数あって迷う結果に。そんな中で、この本は発行されたのが十年前なので、少々古いかと思ったが、著者のコレットさんのお名前は他のボールパイソンの本で目にしたことがあり、また本国のレビュー数も多かったので購入。 （ヘビだけに）目から鱗！ 飼育文化の違いはあるが、ヘビの生態から始まり、飼育方法、病気や脱皮不全で気を付けること等丁寧に書かれている。勿論、モルフやブリードに関する記載もあるが、あくまでも繁殖を含めた飼育メインの本。 ボールパイソンの飼育に当たっては、ネットでも色々調べたが、この本を読んで、ネット情報の間違いに初めて気付いた。 わかりやすい英語で、辞書に載っていない専門用語は、巻末の用語一覧を見ればヘビの飼育者ならだいたいわかると思う。飼育中は手元において何度も読み返したい本。

This is a great book for anyone looking to purchase a python or someone thinking of breeding them. It's very informative and easy to read. Has all the info you could need and plenty of pictures and links if you need more help.

I wanted to do a little more research before getting a snake to understand what I'm buying, this book has been invaluable in giving me enough knowledge, laid out easily and in good order to be confident in picking a good healthy snake!!!

Mine arrived very well used so I’m not thrilled about that but it’s also quite basic info, as a quick reference guide or something for an absolute beginner (especially kids) I think it’s a fairly decent little book but if you’re looking for something more serious this isn’t it. As an aside my 11 year old loves it.
