The original freon was a different number but the internet said the same oil is used with both. Clean the pipe with scotch brite or very fine sandpaper, also put a small wiping of refrigerant oil or synthetic syringe lube on the itty bitty O ring at time of clamping it on, add small amount of gas at a time and if you already do air conditioning and have it, use a small amount of sealant leak detector in the system , because these new china built units must be made of thin material and seem to leak the gas out in less than 2 years , I know this because I have about 6 of them between two houses and they are all short lived. these clamp on valves have saved me from buying more dehumidifiers. They could have at least been tumbled to get the machining looking like quality .
