I just got the Rubbermaid Brilliance and so I didn't understand the answers you got - the Brilliance are hard as well. The vent under the handle on the Rubbermaid brilliance allows for a "burping" through said steam vent and I assume that is what you are referencing. So I believe the question is "Do these have a vent under the handle to allow steam to escape or allow trapped gasses within the container to escape without removing the cover entirely?" I think people were thinking the old Tupperware style where the plastic was flexible… lol
