My hair feels healthier and is shiny and I enjoy the fragrance, not too strong but pleasant. I am 51 and my hair texture has changed, I do feel this shampoo has helped restore some of the softness and shine, a little bit goes a long way.

These product leaves my hair so soft, I love it! My hair is frizzy and coarse and this product is amazing leaving it smooth. It kinds of leave it straighter also. It has a nice citric soft fragrance.

Overall the product is great. Smooth and silky hair after use. However, there are always issues with using it. Last order arrived with the cap broken. The previous smaller size bottles were impossible to squeeze.

This is the best shampoo for "older" people hair. I have been using it for years and everyone always compliments my hair. It shines and looks youthful.

Many, many years ago I tried Alterna's Caviar shampoo as a sample given at a luxury high-end salon - and I'm so glad that I never forgot it! I have shoulder-length, slightly wavy color-treated (highlights every 6 weeks or so) hair, and hormonal, so it was a bit of a dull, dry mess. I'd tried so many other shampoos - from natural and artisanal to medicinal to expensive to drugstore - and nothing was helping! We have hard water here, and I have a filter, but still, my hair always felt either too moisturized or waxy or too clean/stripped/dry, and my scalp was gunky no matter what I did. I was feeling pretty hopeless and then I remembered Alterna and that sample I tried at the salon all of those years ago, and thought I'd give it a go and see if it was as good as I remembered. It EXCEEDED both my expectations and my memory! The shampoo itself is a lovely & unique consistency - sort of like a serum - not too soapy and stripping like some, and not too thick and heavy like others, but it's just the right amount of slip without being weighty or waxy. It lathers nicely, but without stripping, and has a pleasant scent - not an overwhelming perfume, but just a nice luxury fragrance. My sensitive scalp and temperamental hair both loved it - no gunky build-up at all - even after day 4 without washing, and my hair feels silky and healthy, with my natural waves looking polished and not frizzy! Let me tell you, this shampoo (and the CC leave-in creme) are worth every penny!
