In xlr input - rca output setup, does it invert and sum up negative with positive signal(removing noise), and then only pass to rca?

Using XLR at both ends gives a better sound, if using XLR at one end and the other end is RCA, the sound output will slightly lower down and need to increase the volume and there will be no sound distortion.

When output "A" is selected, are outputs "B" and "C" left floating or are they grounded, etc?

Well this is a 3 IN 1 OUT switch. So only one out. As for the other inputs being grounded when not selected, I can’t answer that, but there is no noise from other inputs.
