Not just for ironing
There seem to be a lot of bad reviews, but I took a chance since my purpose for purchasing this iron was not for ironing or crafts. I’ve been replacing the windows in my home and the wood veneer all around one of the frames was in really bad shape so I purchased some wood edge banding with a hot glue backing. You place the banding where you want it – normally the edge of a counter or shelf – and then run an iron over it to heat the glue underneath and it holds fast. The banding was perfect for the window, but my iron was way too big to fit in there to heat it up. This iron fit perfectly. I slowly ran it up and down the banding until the heated glue held it on tight. My methods worked like a charm and you wouldn’t know there was ever any damage to the window frame. A number of reviews complain about the removable cord coming out of the iron, but I didn’t have that problem. It does have issues staying upright should you set it down so you have to be careful there. Especially since there is no power switch and no auto off. If you leave it and forget it and it falls over… Many say it didn’t heat up enough for their purposes. Could be. I don’t know. I do know that I would hate to have to try and iron a shirt with this tiny iron. I might have to admit that it may not get as hot as my regular iron, but it was certainly hot enough to burn me. It did provide sufficient heat for gluing down the edge banding and turned out to be the perfect tool for this use. There are vent holes in the front of the iron to vent off excessive heat. I imagine this little iron might get too hot to handle without them. I don’t know what I’ll ever use this iron for again, but I’ll stash it away in case it’s needed. This iron did the job I needed it to do and I’m satisfied with my purchase. Oh, and I was careful to follow the instructions on the sticker stuck to the iron. "Do not immerse in any liquid." Glad they told me. :-D Reminds me of the warning once found on an electric heating pad. "Do not apply directly to skin or clothing." ¬_¬

Single temp
I have used this for collars and small stitching projects as well as heat sealing treats in plastic film. I did not expect much from it, but it does a good job of getting hot with a flat stick free flat surface. The cord is heavier than the iron, the temp is not adjustable. It is tiny and that is what I wanted. I would not want to iron an entire shirt with this, but for tiny craft and kitchen jobs it is superlative.

IRON BARELY HEATS UP. Not useful for anything!
When I decided to order this seemed like what I needed to press my fabric squares and ribbon as it’s small and compact! Well it doesn’t get hot and is barely warm with so little heat it doesn’t get wrinkles out of anything. I can put my hand flush to the bottom even after I let it “heat” for 15 minutes. It is not worth buying. Unfortunately I didn’t open the plastic container until yesterday so it’s too late to return and get credit for it. I’ll toss it or use as a paperweight but it sure can’t be used to iron or get wrinkles out if anything! So so disappointed!

Lacks heat
This little guy just doesn't put out enough heat to do the job. I sent the first one back thinking I just had a dud but the second one they had the same results. I can gold the fabric in my had and press down and it won't burn me if that tells ya anything. I didnt have the time to send the second one back and it was only 8 or 10 bucks so you get what u pay for I guess.

LOVE this little iron!
This iron may have been intended for travel, but I use it for decoupage. I love how small it is, and lightweight too. It heats up very quickly, and the cord is super long ... another plus. Extremely happy with this purchase!

Overheats and starts to smell
It is a great idea to have a tiny iron for sewing. But this item is not a practical one. There is no on-off button, nor does it keep warm. There is no automatic shut off either. It overhears and starts to smell So every time you have to plug and unplug the mini-iron. Otherwise it is easy to use and could be a great addition to sewing.

IT WORK GREAT!
Bought this for my son-in law, because he needed it to iron logos on clothes. According to him it's perfect & what he really needed. He said the price is right, it's the perfect size, very light in weight, no water is needed & the steam/heat that lets out really presses the logos on the fabric beautifully. He loves that it's small/light enough to travel, so anywhere he goes he can iron his logos on the customer's items right there on the spot.

Not very impressed
Got this item to do some craft work (easier than pulling my full size iron out), thinking it'll be easier to handle on my small table. I was wrong. Takes over 10 minutes to warm up enough to even start removing creases, and the cord drags on the rest of the fabric, causing more wrinkles. Ended up having to unplug it each time I used it. Not even worth the gas to go send it back. Not worth the purchase, sorry.

The iron is a perfect fit for small jobs It takes awhile to heat up, but once heated it's great. Small, compact and light.

Although it needed an adaptor for the plug it was easy to get at a large DIY store and the iron is super.

J'ai acheté ce fer pour ma fille, pour faire des billes chauffantes, mais il ne chauffe pas assez fort pour ce genre d'activité. Par contre, pour dépanner ou amener en voyage pour le linge il serait parfait
