3234DT 2, 3, or 4 Thread Serger with Differential Feed

What an amazing and absolute privilege it is to use this machine. I have wanted a serger for many many years and I am so glad that I waited for this particular model. I had the threading figure it out in about 15 minutes. The self-explanatory diagram on the machine itself is easy to use and easy to figure out. It is without a doubt not a hard thing to figure out. They take all the nasty guessing out of it. I had a 4 Thread blind hem figured out very quickly and then I went to a 3 thread hem Stitch and then to a 2 stitch and then back to a 4. All within one hour of time having fun. All these stitches are easy to do and I have never used a serger ever in my life. The directions are easy to follow if you need them however again I did not need to follow the book I just simply follow the diagram that was on the machine itself. This now is added to my repertoire of fine Brother products. Just a couple of weeks ago I purchased the brother PE 800 embroidery machine and it is absolutely fantastic. I went as far as purchasing a 92,000 embroidery pattern download and with a serger I am getting the 8000 yard threads with various colors to use on this machine. Again I am just so happy with how everything has worked out. I was scared to death the first time I tried to thread it but it was so easy it was ridiculous. I think you're going to find nothing but comfort and ease with this machine. It is superior to none with the craftsmanship and it is well thought out in every design and every aspect. The differential tension is absolutely wonderful as well as any adjustment that you need to make is right at your fingertips. I can't say enough good things about this. Way to go R&D dept. I haven’t had much time on my new serger but what I have used it for it has performed well. I had a Baby Lock before this one and wore it out. I did run out of thread on one of the loopers and rethreaded it but it did not sew properly and I had to leave for work. The instructions in the book are terrible. On my Baby Lock I had to thread the loopers in a certain order, this machine doesn’t state that in the manual or on the machine??? That might be the problem???

Over the years, I have found great confidence in Brother products and this serger hasn't disappointed me. I've only used this serger for a month, but I've been pleased with how easily I have been able to make settings adjustments. So far, I've used the serger on variouse fabrics including organza, jersey, fleece, bathing suit spandex, elastic, and broadcloth. Each fabric change has required adjustment to the pressure and stitch to accommodate the fabric. I have been pleased with the ease of setting the best stitch for my need. Also, I love the wider extention table that enables me to guide my garment with a steadier hand. It is a major improvement over the serger I've used for the past ten years. I am excited to continue my serging needs with this serger.

I was worried about buying something from amazon resale. but it came very quickly and in the original box. it was like buying a new serger. but it works great and was a great value for the money.

Got it for Christmas. Just got a chance to sit down to play with it. Did all the stitches available beautifully. No louder than a sewing machine. No vibration, doesn't dance around on the table, smooth. However, the automatic threader was a selling feature of this item and it doesn't work. The hook of the threader doesn't reach the eye of the needle. What's with that? Otherwise, at this time I love my serger, though the auto threader is a disappointment.

Right out of the box the automatic threader was stuck. It did not move. Couldn't even try it. I expected better quality. The serger should have been inspected before it was shipped.

I did like Brother Machines, But i found there Serger's only last one year then break, i brought this more expensive Serger hoping it would be better and last longer..NO and its not been a year since i purchase this machine and is already faulty...Customer Server was bad, I explained what is wrong , and did all the troubleshootng and they just say ....wait on hold, then to be told sorry no warranty and contact brother direct to get the part ??umm now how do i know what part if the machine is faulty and i have no clue ..... .. .......So no one year Warranty with purchase, only a month otherwise you have to pay more for that...after purchasing so many machines from amazon/brother im going somewhere else, so to let you know its great for a few months then goes bad like all there brother sergers.

I love my serger, is beautiful. I would really recommend this serger. I have a brother sewing machine and I was looking to sew apparel with more professional finish when I start looking into buying a serger I did my homework I didn't want something to cheap or to expensive, I don't regret my purchase at all, my serger is amazing. Isn't hard to thread or hard to work with it. Make sure you buy cone thread because is doesn't come with any. I also purchase additional feet for this serger which I review also if you want to check it out. I just started sewing like 2 years ago but a serger does make a difference if you're sewing clothing.
