For well over 25 years T-88 has been the most widely used structural adhesive for marine and general woodworking use in the United States. Mixed at a 1:1 by volume ratio, T-88 will cure at temperatures as low as 35ºF. When fully cured, it is unaffected by water, oil, kerosene, and many other chemicals. It will not stain wood and is immune to fungus and rot. T-88 is unique in that it may be applied to damp wood, provided it is worked well into the surface.T-88 is a high-performance, non-brittle, two-part epoxy adhesive designed to give superior results under adverse conditions. The adhesive may be used without modifications in normally fitted joints, and will cure in any thickness without shrinkage. T-88 is clear amber and becomes virtually invisible when varnished. T-88 exhibits outstanding adhesion and permanence on a wide variety of materials, and is endorsed by leading designers, builders and organizations.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ very pleased with results

*by D***K on November 29, 2016*

Excellent for tricky glue ups. I typically use titebond (3) carpenters glue for most of my work. But I decided to give this a try when faced with a complicated assembly.... in this case an exterior door. Lots of loose tennons and large stiles/rails made it a real challenge. I was worried I would not be able to get it all together and squared up before the glue began to cure with regular glue. This stuff made it a breeze. It has a working time of 60 minutes and it kinda makes the joints slippery as you assemble, which is a big help. Obviously the extra step of mixing is not as convenient as carpenters glue. And I found you need to be careful about squeeze out as it does not wipe off easily. I had better luck letting squeeze out dry in place and sanding it off after it cures. It is fairly easy to use but I would say try it out on a practice piece before doing it on the real thing to get the feel for the nuances. It has a very strong bond, is waterproof, and instructions are straightforward. I still use titebond for most jobs as it is much easier and more cost effective. But for some jobs this is only way to go.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good open time/cherry cabinet door repair successful!

*by K***R on March 8, 2018*

I got this to repair a cherry cabinet door. I put aluminum heating tape (not duct tape, but you are supposed to use aluminum on ducts) on the front, good side, taping it very well, to contain the glue and to prevent the epoxy from leaking through cracks in the area where I was doing the repair. I then mixed the epoxy and used a hair dryer to heat it so it was more runny.. I then used some syringes with very thin tips to force the glue in the joints that were coming apart and also the cracks. I heated it again to make sure it dispersed into all the spaces. This also helps get rid of air bubbles and more glue goes into the crack/joint. I then clamped them. It has a long enough open time to get all the glue in there, use the dryer and get the clamps on. I had the clamps ready to go. And had done a dry run with clamps first. I waited till the next day to take off the clamps, just as extra insurance, since it takes 24 hours to fully cure.I had to do this twice to get different spots, but it worked like a charm. My door is stable and sound. I'm sure I will use it for other repairs. I hardly shows in the back since I used some tape to mask the areas I was gluing, leaving only thin cracks where I put the glue. The tape really keeps this out. The tape came off pretty easily when I took off the clamps, but ymmv, depending on surface It was pricey, but I didn't want to risk a cheaper product and ruin the door which matches all the other doors.. Be careful not to overheat, but just till its the right consistency. Plenty left for other projects.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for fine woodworking

*by M***L on April 2, 2019*

This epoxy is exceptionally strong and, more importantly, stable. I use it to allow the strengthening of wood that may include knots or other "imperfections" that add a ton of character, once strengthened, whether they be in board feet of lumber of in more free form wood used in woodturnings. It dries clear, but in my use I often introduce dye while mixing the resin and hardener so the result mimics the character of the wood, itself. That approach works very well, and the result is indistinguishable from the wood itself.Just understand that all of this goodness has one price, which is that it takes about 12 hours for this epoxy to solidify, and 24 hours to fully harden.
