SO, is it from horses or cows, and what country are these animals in and what is the processing to get this supplement? what are the animals fed?

I do not know the answers to those very good questions. I believe the patient should ask their doctor if taking Ferritin itself will increase serum Ferritin levels. Usually, one takes an iron supplement and that will lead to an increase in Ferritin which represent your body's stores of iron. If the patient is looking for relief of RLS...Restless Legs Syndrome...43% of RLS is caused by low Ferritin levels in the brain. Dr. Holder

What is the difference between cr bioavailable ferritin and just cr ferritin?

In the small print it says bioavailable iron. I have low ferritin. I took this for one month. It did not raise my ferritin level. I am relatively certain it would be a good iron supplement. And you need iron for your body to make ferritin. Not so sure your body can absorb ferritin orally and not so sure this product contains Ferritin even though that is the name just like Half&Half is not 50/50 cream and milk. I believe this is an iron supplement.
