Nupla - 36206 YPD-6 Heavy Duty Pike Pole with Classic Round Handle and Butt Grip, 6' Length

Although when I ordered it I was supposed to get the classic round handle and I got a different model I'm still pleased with my purchase. The sturdiest poles you can possibly find and a nice solid pike hook head on there. Should last forever.

It was bought for asthetics and emergencies this time, but I have no doubt it's capable of doing the job.

I’m using this to clean out the cove of a lake by our home. I pull out big logs and other trash. It works as I intended it to which is great!

Purchased in 2018 for use as a fire poker on smallish (3ft to 6ft diameter) bonfires. Has held up well even when used to roll/drag/push larger limb & log ends into hot fires (which it was used for frequently throughout 2020). The length is usually good enough to avoid the heat if the fire is burned down to embers, but can be a bit short if fire is intense and roaring hot. It can also get to be a bit heavy/unwieldy if held too close to the end (as may be needed to avoid the heat of an intense fire). While a longer one (one with enough length to stay further from the fire and still have enough handle to comfortably use) would probably be a better choice for those times this one works well enough as a fire poker for most fires I burn. Has held up to more heat than a person can tolerate and will likely withstand more force than a human can generate when using it to poke, prod and otherwise safely manage a fire. So yes, it would definitely seem to work as intended - and has become my preferred tool for managing bonfires (no more flexing & scorching/burning hoe or shovel handles for me).

I use this to dislodge driftwood that collects around/under my dock (home is located on a lake). I like the fiberglass pole, but when scuffed (I have used pole as a lever against dock), fiberglass fibers can be exposed making handling a bit hazardous with bare hands.

Heavy construction. It'll get the job done, no doubt.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Fabrication quality is good. Fiberglas handle is on the heavy (weight-wise) side.

Made demolition of a ceiling and drywall very easy.
