Automoblox Mini S9-R Sport Sedan

My nephews, 3.5 and 5, love playing with these cars. They love to mix and match the colors and parts to personalize their cars. These are durable and well designed. I like the size of the minis. I think they are perfect for kids.

Great toy for small hands. This model is interchangeable with other models by the same manufacturer and thus gives lot of options for creativity. Highly recommend these well-made toy vehicles.

Very disappointing. We have the larger police car and it is well made. These wheels just pop off this mini car. There are practically splinters coming off the wood. The design is also not good for this sized car. Wheels are too small. I love automoblox and this was disappointing. I returned it.

The S9-R we purchased from this Amazon listing is NOT the beautifully finished car you see in the pictures and video. If you've held one of these or seen one, they are really cool - but this is NOT one of them. It apparently is their smaller version. What we were able to cobble together: We ran across an Automoblox car in a local Bricks & Mortar toy shop. It was beautiful. Cleverly designed, with a little construction and a wood finish any woodworker would be proud of. The store I was in only had a few yellow/gold car models but no blue. No worries, we'll just go to Amazon and find a blue one. Open the box eight months later on Christmas morning, and OMG what a disappointment! It's just a wood block with wheels and window. The wood is not even sanded smooth and there is NO finish. Pictures are attached to show how basic and unattractive this particular toy is. Looking at the video carefully, you can see some smaller, blander cars in the video. This S9-R looks like one of them. The video also shows the prettier, and evidently larger cars. How we were/are supposed to determine which cars are the nice ones, and which ones are the cruddy ones like the one we received, remains a mystery. The car we received looks NOTHING like the pictures in the Amazon listing. On the plus side, the car rolls nicely, is sturdy and looks like it will last a long time. But so do Matchbox cars, and they only cost $1-$2.

We have the larger automoblox car like this and it is of MUCH higher quality than this mini version. I ordered this car twice because the first one had all sorts of issues, rough wood/splinters, defective plastic...the second one was a little better than the first one ordered, but it still had rough wood. I bought it for a birthday gift, so I just kept it because otherwise I wouldn't have had anything to give, but honestly I was a little embarrassed to give it as a gift. Anyway, I won't be ordering any of these again. I will only be purchasing in store where I can inspect and make sure it's of appropriate quality.

These Automoblox are really neat toys. Our son loves playing with the two he has, and swapping the parts around the parts. Even with mostly ginger playing, the plastic wheel studs do seem to loosen up over time. This just means that the wheels wobble just a little more than they did when the car was new. This goes for the body connection studs, too; not quite the firm snap that they had. But I would purchase again and recommend the line of vehicles. Whoever the designer is of these vehicles, great job! Whoever the engineer is of these vehicles, consider adding a little glass fill if your tool can support it.

Great new automoblox pattern. These cars are so durable and well made. They are one of the only toys that get played with daily by both my 5 and 2 year old. The Automoblox customer service when a part breaks has been good as well.

Great car! purchased for my 7 year old. It is small; will fit in the palm of your hand however he likes the smaller cars and has enjoyed playing with it.
