A must have for joist hangers and other connectors (and great warranty service)
In the last month I've used this tool to install a couple thousand nails on a decking project. Not one bent nail, it's amazing and easy. Don't get me wrong, the macho side of me wants to swing a hammer, but for close quarter nailing this tool is indispensable. The plus: It just works. So easy even a kid can use it. (Hey kid: put a little weight on your palm it'll drive in faster) The not quite as good: It's a little messy at first. Mine sprayed and leaked a bunch of dark oil the first day I used it. I think this just the factory assembly lube because it's been declining and is nearly no longer present any longer. See photo. Just hold a rag over the tool for the first day if this bothers you. It's an air hog for sure. Your pancake compressor may need regular breaks between nails to get back up to pressure. The awesome: In my case the magnet disappeared which let it still useable, just proved to be annoying as it can no longer be used single handed. I contacted Freeman and they are sending me a new one with magnet intact! I love a company that stands behind their warranty. It's a great tool and terrific value. This is not my first freeman pneumatic tool and it will not be my last.

Worked much better than I had expected!
This is the first time I have ever used a palm nailer. I had a small space that didn't give me enough room to swing a hammer. I put in a number 4 inch nails and then put other nails along my garage walls to hang things on. This was amazing. The nails went in like butter. I'm 70 and I wish I would of had something like this the last 55 years. Incredibly simple to use and worked perfectly. In fact, it was way better than I had hoped. And at this price I'm going to get some to give for Birthday gifts.

Great for Joist Hanger nails!
This nailer is decent but with a minor adjustment could be great. I can't complain too much because it is super affordable. As designed, it will only work with nails that have a big head. This is because the "hammer head" is small and there's a big space between the edges of the hammer head and the sides of the sleeve that it moves in. If they just made the hammer head bigger, you could use small head (like finishing) nails in it. I used it for joist hanger nails and it worked great in a tight space. It has plenty of power for this job. I also wanted to use it to drive cleat nails into hardwood flooring planks but those nails don't work with it at all. If you are building a deck, you'll really be glad you have this in your toolbox.

Powerhouse
Works awesome! Maybe too well. She drives nails in no matter what the material so you had better hold on. I am happy with the purchase

Great Little Tool
I was building a small loft in my garage and did not feel that I was good enough with a normal hammer to frame it by hand, and felt a little scared and cheap to buy a framing nailer. This was the perfect solution. I probably did 200+ nails through it the first day and it went perfectly. The head seems to be getting a little deformed now so I am wondering how well it will hold up long term. I had a few mishaps, sometimes a nail will sort of hang when you put it into the head, and I had 3-4 hang enough to pull the sleeve back which triggers the hammer and sent a nail flying. While scary it is not the end of the world. A similar mishap with a framing nailer and I would be at the ER. With this as long as you are wearing ear and eye protection you should be pretty safe. I am pleasantly surprised with this item. I think it is worth about 4 stars in quality, but since it is so cheap, I had to give it five.

Excellent for tight spaces
Great bang the buck. I used this for framing in tight spaces worked like a charm.

Didn't work for small nails.
Smaller nail heads got stuck to the side of the impact piece, inside the shaft of the nailer. Would probably work great on latlrger nails... just not finish nails. Not that you should be using this for any finish work. It will put dents in the wood.

Best money I’ve ever spent
This tool is phenomenal! I got the job done much more quickly than using a hammer. I’d never used one before and I wish I would have bought one decades ago. I have a relatively small air compressor (2 gal.) and was concerned it wouldn’t recover quickly enough, but no problem. Highly recommend this.

Great handheld nailer
This little nailer is amazing! While building my shed and using large 6" spikes this little nailer made it so easy! Within seconds the spikes were beat in save my hand in the process. It made the whole project SO MUCH FASTER! I love this little thing and use it quite often when nailing a lot!

Fantastic tool to have
Was a little hesitant at first if I even need this and after seeing few YouTube videos decided to pull the trigger and now I I ly regret not getting one sooner! Irreplaceable in tight spaces, had to add boards between joists and a normal hammer would even swing in there - this makes it a breeze! Comfy to use, easy to store, nothing to dislike!
