Amazon's customer service was easy to exchange it, and the replacement arrived and quality is great. The ball is good and grippy, and shaped correctly this time. The one thing I'd warn people about with the GST series leather balls is that they are pretty hard, however I've always really liked them.Ordered for my flag football team (co-ed league that requires junior balls). First attempt the ball came deformed enough I'd expect it to have some impact when throwing. Really looks like the leather just didn't stitch together quite as neatly as it should of and overlapped in places causing a knot on the seam, and the ends of the ball are also a bit wonky and had a slight underbite (which wouldn't be a big deal alone). Luckily Amazon's customer service is great so I am immediately exchanging since this is a fairly expensive ball, will update based on the next ball I get.On a side note, the leather feels great, and the ball is made of quality material.
