The seller did a great job of saying exactly what they are. At first I was a little miffed with myself and thought of returning them, but with the price so reasonable, I decided to keep them and maybe keep them on hand for pillow case emergencies. In the end, I have come to love them - cool and crisp covers. We will use them in conjunction with our flannel sheet sets - they coordinate nicely. These will be the bottom layer and the flannel will be on top. It looks great to have the solids contrasting with the curvy pattern of the flannel. They were shipped promptly with no issues. I remember back to the olden days when everything took 6-8 weeks to arrive. That's not the case anymore. They're just okay, not very soft to lay your cheek on, a bit scratchy even after using fabric softener in the wash. Not sure how many washes the seams will hold up through. For the price, they are okay. They are relatively soft, though not smooth; kind of like a t-shirt feel. They fit well around the pillows. My biggest gripe about them is how easily they wrinkle. No matter when I take the covers out of the dryer, they always come out wrinkled.
