Rich cocoa flavor. Most likely the best I’ve ever used.

Cocoa is dark and bitter. Following recipe on can is not very good to my taste. You do have to use a lot to get the chocolate flavor you want. Not a good vale for cost in my opinion

In this dismal epoch of confectionery claptrap, where the American palate is too often bludgeoned by mass-market dross, Guittard’s Grand Cacao Drinking Chocolate rises as a velvet-clad monument to gustatory redemption. This is no mere beverage but a silken sermon on indulgence, its sweetness calibrated with the fastidious precision of a Swiss horologist—neither the saccharine wail of soda-fountain swill nor the cloying treacle of lesser brews. The ingredients stand untainted by the chemical treachery that afflicts the common cocoa tin, delivering a purity to make a Burgundian vintner weep. Its texture, smooth as a confidence man’s patter, flows like liquefied luxury, so scandalously rich it might topple a Puritan on a bleak winter’s morn. True, its price flirts with extortion, prompting the prudent to clutch their purses in dismay, but this elixir delivers a pleasurable wallop that nearly justifies its princely ransom.

Ten out of five stars! Great product- they sent it in a box that was well packed. I order hard to get/find ingredients, and have been burned before by exploding cocoa containers. Not this time. Put this in your hot coffee (it won't dissolve in iced coffee) for a PERFECT, elegant mocha. That's what I got it for. Not to add to chili or mix into banana bread or anything. This is center stage chocolate. Guittard products are superior to Ghirardelli, while in the same price point ballbpark. Go out of your way and find Guittard.

This is not hot chocolate. It is a thick, rich, creamy, foamy experience. Sipping chocolate in general is something anyone that likes chocolate at all should try at least once. This particular brand stands out. Its ability to form and hold a head of foam with a bit of whisking allows the flavor and aroma of very good chocolate to roll through your senses. I personally mix it with other sipping chocolates here and there to adjust the exact balance of thickness and depth of flavor, but this is one that can more than satisfy by itself.

Under "Nutrition Facts" on the back of the can, it claims: "28 Servings per container. Serving Size: 1 tablespoon (10g)". Yet at the same time, under the directions for "Cocoa Beverage Preparation Instructions" (which is the main purpose of this product), it states: "For each SERVING (my emphasis), combine 4 tablespoons Grand Cacao and 1 cup milk in saucepan." So is each serving 1 or 4 tablespoons?!? If you used 1 tablespoon, you would use 1/4 cup milk, making the smallest cup of cocoa in existence. So if you make a single 1 cup serving as directed, you really use 4 tablespoons of cocoa, which is a full quarter cup of powder. This yields only 7 servings per container, so it's a good bit more expensive per cup than it looks! On top of that, perhaps more importantly, neither my wife nor I really enjoyed the taste of this product. In both of our opinions, the plain Guittard cocoa, mixed with our own sugar, produced a much better tasting cup of chocolate, so we would really recommend that one over this.
