I'll start with the negatives, this bar is very soft and needs to be looked after so it doesn't just melt but apart from that I cannot fault it. It has a divine smell and lathers well. I have coarse thick usually long hair which I wash twice a week, it doesn't take your hair some time to get used to not having all the nasty chemicals applied to your scalp. If your finding it's not working for you then you definitely doing it wrong. I use the intensive conditioner to finish and I have the nicest finishing hair. They make travelling simple as there is no need to lug large bottle of water based products. Their packaging is also compostable. Just a very well thought out product

I was given a sample bar of this product and one of their St Clements bars back in September 2023. I used the Kiwi bar first as I have had an itchy scalp for years. I am still using the St Clements bar now (beginning of March) and wash my shoulder length hair every other day. So, I estimate that 2 bars will last me 5-6 months. On that basis I have purchased another 2 bars myself - that has got to be a good recommendation surely. My scalp is no longer itchy, and my hair feels clean and shiny. It is very easy to use, just a bit of water gets a good lather. And no plastic waste, just a small cardboard carton that can go in the recycling box. Very happy with this product - definitely worth a try.

I like the smell but am not sure how effective this one is. My hair is fine and seemed to be weighed down. I will perservere.

Really good shampoo, calms the scalp and leaves hair very soft.

It makes my hair super dry and frizzy after the wash. Not sure if its for me but will give it a try for few more days.

Bit of a risky purchase for someone with an easily irritated scalp but it seems to have paid off. It did soothe my scalp and made my hair feel fresh and clean. Tried so many other scalp soothing shampoos that have promised miraculous results but always ended up back with angry scalp. Not this time, and my hair feels soft and in good condition. It's SLS-free which is another major benefit - SLS sends my skin into meltdown and is to be avoided at all costs. Result is I'm a convert to this shampoo bar. Bye bye bottles.

Found this shampoo to be most effective for my dandruff without irritating my scalp. I used to use Tgel which worked well but it would also make my scalp itchy. Salon brands weren't irritating but also weren't as effective. These bars have been a good balance for me. Smells nice too. I find that they don't last as long as I expect as per their advertising but perhaps I use too much product?

Wow. Love it, but it presented a bit of a learning curve for me: I'd been using a combination of salon and store shampoos for the year prior to ordering Ethique shampoo bar, and I had a whole post-shower routine of products to reapply healthy oils and cremes to the ends/length of my hair, but once I started using this shampoo bar I didn't need nearly as much post-shower care. All those extra products for dry hair now left my hair oily and limp, but I am more than happy to stop using/buying post-shower hair revitalizers. Once I adjusted my routine it's been great! The Ethique shampoo bar does get my hair clean (I feel like I use more per wash than suggested, but that's fine), but it doesn't strip out all the moisture the way my old shampoos did. My hair stays soft and healthy for 2-3 days after washing. The kiwi scent is mild. I don't particularly think it smells like a kiwi fruit (possibly like the peel), but the scent doesn't linger once I wash it out or apply a conditioner. I have an extremely dry and sensitive scalp. The kiwi shampoo doesn't aggravate it more than any other mild shampoo does. I'm hesitant to say my scalp has improved as I've only been using the shampoo a month. We'll see what results are in a few months. There is a slight grit to the bar, which surprised me at first, but doesn't really impact my experience. Over all, I plan to buy again. Shampoo is moisturizing, non-damaging, doesn't come in a plastic bottle, and has minimal scent.

With just a few swipes of this bar can fully lather my whole hair. Feels clean too. Without using conditioner is also okay, as the shampoo is not drying. I was expecting the bar to be harder, but it turns soft easily when touched with wet hands

I live somewhere with hard water while trying to use the common shampoo bars without surfactants, which are essentially modified bars of soap. I had to use a baking soda rinse before shampooing then an ACV rinse after just to not a waxy and heavy head of hair. Using extra time and products was tiring. I tested this Ethique bar out without the 2 extra steps and no waxy hair!! I'm switching to the Ethique bar immediately. I would recommend this for anyone washing their hair in a place with hard water. 4.5 stars overall, -0.5 star for the high price of the bar. Later, I might try the slightly more affordable bar like HiBar, which is made more local to me and also has surfactants.

I decided to try this shampoo bar because I started thinking about all the plastic bottles being tossed out from beauty products, and I was hoping this would at least be decent quality shampoo. I am SO happy that I decided to give it a try! It's a small square of soap that arrives in a paperboard box. I did try to cut a piece off of the bar, as I had read reviews that said doing that will help the rest of the bar stay dry and last longer, but the Heali Kiwi bar began to crumble where I was cutting it, so I stopped. To use, I simply wet my hair in the shower, swiped the bar over my hair several times, set the soap aside in a protected dry spot on the edge of the shower, and scrubbed my scalp. It actually had a very slight lather, which was more than I expected, but it softens your hair as it cleanses, so the shampoo is distributed easily without requiring a big soapy lather. I have full, very thick hair that all my hairdressers have commented on, and I had absolutely no issues working this shampoo into my hair. I let it stay in my hair for a minute or two before rinsing, and let me tell you, the moment I began rinsing my hair, I knew this shampoo was good. My hair immediately felt light and soft. I almost didn't even bother with conditioner. But I went ahead and sprayed my typical lemon juice/vinegar/water solution onto my scalp, finished my shower, and rinsed again. My hair was silky and light, with absolutely no residue afterwards. My house has very hard water, and I've felt all those mineral deposits begin to weigh down my hair over time. But this shampoo cleaned my hair right up and it's feeling normal again! Furthermore, my sister buys fancy, expensive brands of shampoo when she visits and leaves them at my house, but I will be getting rid of those as this shampoo bar is infinitely better than the latest brands she left. They claim that one shampoo bar is equivalent to 3 bottles of shampoo, and based on my first experience with it today, I believe it. Also, I tried Heali Kiwi because I've had scalp issues since childhood and wanted to see if it helps. I will update my review when I'm at the end of my bar to see if this shampoo helped over longterm.
