I have used this a couple dozen times already and I don't see it breaking anytime in the near future. The edges are sharp enough to break through the skin of the apple and tube is long enough to go through even the biggest apples. I love that if I run it through the apple one time and I need to get more out I can just aim down one side of the core and "shave off" the extra core. It is a little tricky to push out the core from the tube requiring some muscles to get it out. But, I have figured out that if you spray the edge and inside of the metal tube with pan coating it helps it glide out much easier. It is enclosed so no fear of a clumsy accident which I have been known to have with sharp implements. It was taking me about 45 seconds to prepare each apple to juice and today it was 5. I stepped back and wondered what I had forgotten because things were ready so fast.If you understand the science of a tube cutting things the dimensions of the tube and the cut object being exactly the same.............it's not gonna simply slip back out!
