## Description

Polycarbonate sheet combines high impact and temperature resistance with optical clarity and can be utilized for secondary glazing behind existing glazing for economical protection against breakage or intrusion. Polycarbonate sheet can be cut, sawn, drilled and milled by using standard workshop equipment without the risk of cracking and breakage and is therefore an excellent candidate for fabricating a wide range of indoor applications such as machine guards etc. Polycarbonate sheet can be easily thermoformed into complex parts while retaining its excellent properties necessary for demanding applications such as vandal proof street furniture. Polycarbonate sheet may be decorated using a wide variety of modern techniques such as painting and screen printing. Unlike most thermoplastics, polycarbonate can undergo large plastic deformations without cracking or breaking. As a result, it can be processed and formed at room temperature using sheet metal techniques, such as forming bends on a brake. Even for sharp angle bends with a tight radius, no heating is generally necessary. Review: Perfect glass replacement - I had ordered a lantern online. When it was delivered, I was disappointed to find that one of the large glass panels had broken. I ended up buying 3 polycarbonate sheets and replaced all the panels in the lantern because I didn't want to have a broken mess in a house with young kids. I couldn't cut through the sheet with a x-acto knife even though I made several passes. I ended up just using metal snips/metal cutting shears and was able to get a straighter cut. I did get scratched, so be aware that edges can be sharp and you might want to sand it smooth depending on your needs. I included a picture so you can see that it looks exactly like glass--very sheer and glossy (note the reflection), but more durable. The sheet thickness (1/16") is like a glass panel used in picture frames. I am very happy with this product, and plan on buying more to replace the broken glass in my picture frames.

**Q: Need a piece for a rear window in a jeep wrangler yj hardtop. is this thick enough?**
A: It is thicker than the plastic they put in the window as far as I can remember. My dad had a Jeep and that plastic was more pliable than this.

**Q: Can it be dyed?**
A: I have not done it myself buy I have seen it done. You need the correct chemistry to do it.

**Q: Can I used it for a green house**
A: I don’t believe it is designed for that type of use.
It’s just a bit larger than a sheet of paper and about a 1/16” think.
It would take a lot of sheets to do a greenhouse.
I would personally use something more practical than this

**Q: Can this be melted with a heat gun to make a bowl?**
A: Yes.  I use .093" lexan to make flasher blades for spearfishing.  I use a heatgun to soften the material...takes about 2 min to get it soft enough to bend.  It bends well and does not discolor.

I had ordered a lantern online. When it was delivered, I was disappointed to find that one of the large glass panels had broken. I ended up buying 3 polycarbonate sheets and replaced all the panels in the lantern because I didn't want to have a broken mess in a house with young kids. I couldn't cut through the sheet with a x-acto knife even though I made several passes. I ended up just using metal snips/metal cutting shears and was able to get a straighter cut. I did get scratched, so be aware that edges can be sharp and you might want to sand it smooth depending on your needs. I included a picture so you can see that it looks exactly like glass--very sheer and glossy (note the reflection), but more durable. The sheet thickness (1/16") is like a glass panel used in picture frames. I am very happy with this product, and plan on buying more to replace the broken glass in my picture frames.

Perfect for my custom shadow box project! It’s clear (crystal clear), like clean glass, and durable. Measurements are slightly less than 12” so plan accordingly. I noticed that it has some flexibility when I ran it under hot water. Great packaging, it’s protected on both sides with peel-off film. Highly recommend!
